The 41st Annual Saturn Awards 2015 was held yesterday in Burbank, California and Oscar Nominee   Rosamund Pike  (as  Amazing Amy Dunne )   and her breakout film  Gone Girl   both won the Saturn Award for the following categories :  Best Actress in Film and Best Thriller Film Release . Yay, congrats to RP and GG film!

A big CONGRATULATIONS to Oscar Nominee Rosamund Pike (as Amazing Amy Dunne image still via Gone Girl's official FB page ) for winning a BEST ACTRESS award for Gone Girl at the Jameson Empire Awards 2015 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on March 29, 2015 in London, England. Miss Pike was a no show at the award ceremony as there were neither red carpet photos of her nor award show photos of her accepting her award except for a couple screen captures (which looked like from when she was at the Oscars Luncheon last month) of her shown during the award show via Getty Images below. Here's her Empire Award acceptance speech that was sent in which she said: "I cannot believe that the one time I can’t attend an award ceremony is the one time I win, I’ve become so accomplished at losing I have no idea what to say now I’ve won." Ros beat out her former P&P co-star Keira Knightley (for The Imitation Game ) for the Best Actress category :

I thought the awards season is over! But then, there's one more televised movie award show to see and looks like  Rosamund Pike   and  Gone Girl   are still going as today, they received 4 fun and interesting 2015 MTV Movie Awards nominations including Movie of the Year   (for GG )   and 3 individual nods for Miss Pike in the following categories (click on the links to vote for her): Breakthrough Performance , Best Villain , and Best Scared-As-S**t Performance . A well-deserved nominations for Ros as Amazing Amy ! The only thing missing is Best Female Performance, but apparently, she's still considered a "newbie," so Breakthrough Performance will do. At least MTV didn't snubbed her and GG . Win or lose, at least, it's the fans who vote for the winners. Vote for RP and GG here ! Rosamund Pike appears on the Ellen show (for the first time) today, this afternoon (check your local listings).  Rosamund is nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress for her Amy Dunne role in Gone Girl . The 87th Academy Awards is held next Sunday , February 22nd . Rosamund Pike is in attendance at today's 87th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 2, 2015 in Beverly Hills, California. Pictures of Rosamund (in her first Oscar Luncheon) and her fellow Oscar nominees (sans Keira Knightley , at least I didn't see any photos of her being there...there goes my hope of seeing her and Ros reuniting in picture together for an early P&P reunion's sake...just not meant to be or rather too early, perhaps? New  Academy Award nominee   Rosamund Pike  ( Best Actress  for  Gone Girl ) and now  two-time Academy Award nominee   Keira Knightley  ( Best Supporting Actress  for  The Imitation Game ) attended  the 20th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards at the Hollywood Palladium last night on January 15 , 2015 in Los Angeles, California. It's interesting that they both have been attending the same award shows recently and they still haven't been seen reuniting, mingling, or photographed together. I wonder why. Are they not friends anymore? What happened to their  Bennet sisterhood ?

Fresh off today's 2015 Oscar Nominations , Rosamund is joining her former Pride & Prejudice co-stars Keira (she just scored her 2nd Oscar nomination in 9 years! She was, of course, nominated for Best Actress for her outstanding performance as Elizabeth Bennet in P&P movie), Carey Mulligan ( Best Actress nomination for An Education , which Carey co-starred with Peter Saarsgard, Dominic Cooper, and Rosamund Pike ), Brenda Blethyn (she was nominated twice), and dame Judi Dench with 7 total  nominations and won an Oscar for her Supporting role in Shakespeare In Love ) as one of the now 5 P&P (2005) actresses with Acting Oscar Nominations! Between the 5 of them ( Keira , Brenda , Judi , Carey , and now Rosamund ), they have a total of 13 Oscar Nomin...

The 2015 Oscar Nominations were announced (one of the announcers was Chris Pine , KK 's Jack Ryan costar) very early in the morning (5:30 am PT/8:30 ET),  and I'm very glad my Bennet girls   Rosamund Pike   and   Keira Knightley  made it in, in their acting categories and got Oscar nominated for Best Actress ( Rosamund Pike ) and Best Supporting Actress ( Keira Knightley , her second! First was Best Actress for Pride & Prejudice , almost a decade ago, of course) as they should be. Gone Girl , however, only got one nomination ! *shocking!* (and that was for Miss Pike only, which I'm glad she wasn't snubbed 'cause that would be just... #OMGICantEvenKnow (I was almost worried for her, lol...which I already was after the snubs of GG in other categories. That's unfortunate that  GG film was almost completely shutout, except for RP . I was hoping, but not expecting, at least a 5 nominations for GG including Best Picture , Best Adapted Screen...

It's been a while since I've posted here a  P&P reference or P&P/Darcy/Elizabeth mentioned   in P&P inspired  books or other non- P&P   books , in  movies , TV shows ,  magazines ,  reviews , or  celebrities  mentioning  Pride and Prejudice   / Jane Austen . I thought I'd update and post here a more recent P&P References , from the most popular  Jane Austen novel , the 1995   mini-series ,  P&P (2005) movie  or any of the  P&P characters  (ie.  Elizabeth & Darcy ) that were  referenced a lot in books, magazines, movies, TV shows, reviews, etc... Here are a few newer ones of the many references I've compiled here to share with you all, which I've actually first posted  here . If you have anything new to share that I haven't posted here. First time Golden Globe Nominee Rosamund Pike (in Vera Wang dress) attends the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 11, 2015 in Beverly Hills, California. Unfortunately, Miss Pike didn't win the GG award for Best Actress , but it's all good she was at least recognized and nominated. Her popular character/role and performance was still amazing (she's not Amazing Amy for nothing...) and unforgettable . Her Gone Girl movie had 4 nominations and zero win , but her movie's way more successful , box-office and business-wise compared to all those that won the Golden Globe award Sunday night. With $167 million in domestic, $198.2 million in foreign, and $365.3 million worldwide total...this movie's already a big winner and made a lot of money than all the other Best Motion Picture - Drama nominees ( Boyhood , Foxcatcher , The Imitation Game , Selma , and The Theory of Everything ) combine (as far as Box office domestic...
