A last post for 2010, as we're about to say goodbye to the past year, and ring in the New Year 2011 (the year of the rabbit!) in just seven hours (eastern time) from now. As I previously posted and blogged here in  part 1 , I shared some photos and my wonderful experience from my recent holiday and visit to the beautiful countryside of England ( Derbyshire , Yorkshire , and Lincolnshire ) and the lovely Scotland , UK . And in part 2 of My First European trip (September 2010) , I shared my photos from London ( England ), Paris ( France ), and parts of Bakewell ( Derbyshire ) including Haddon Hall . I took more photos (I have tons of them, actually) and I thought I'd share more especially the photos that's relevant to this blog as I took more pics from Chatsworth House ( Pemberley scenes ) and Haddon Hall ( Lambton Inn scenes ), two of Pride & Prejudice film's filming Locations I was fortunate enough to have had a chance to tour and visit to this y

New Interview with Bonnie Mae, director of 'A Modern Pride and Prejudice' film

Image
Here's my new interview with my friend writer/producer / director Bonnie Mae , who wrote the screenplay, produced, and directed the new independent film, Pride and Prejudice ( A modern day tale of First Impressions ) starring  Maia Petee and Caleb Grusing . It's still in post-production and editing process. So, I recently did a follow up interview with Bonnie (last time I interviewed her was last February, about 10 months ago, and just a few weeks after the official cast was annnounced here of P&P 2010 ) to give us an update on the status of her Pride and Prejudice movie (a new alternate title: " A Modern Pride and Prejudice "). I thought while we wait for the trailer, movie poster, and the completed film, I'd ask her the following questions about the movie. Also, I've included here a couple new update on her interview, new stills and on set/behind the scenes photos as well.

Rosamund Pike scored two London Film Critics Circle Award Nominations!!

Image
Surprisingly, no nominations for either  Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan and their film, Never Let Me Go (interestingly, their co-star Andrew Garfield did for British Actor of the Year ), but wow and a big YAY for Rosamund Pike (photo by London Evening Standard ) for scoring double nominations from her two films, Barney's Version and Made In Dagenham while Colin Firth (including two nods for him) and The King's Speech continue to dominate with 7 nominations from the 31st London Film Critics Circle Awards Nominations , which will be held February 10th, 2011 . Watch the first trailer to Joe Wright's 'Hanna' starring Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana, and Cate Blanchett

Image
The first trailer for Pride & Prejudice / Atonement director Joe Wright 's new assasin flick Hanna (In U.S. Theaters April 8th, 2011 )starring in the title role, Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan ( Atonement and The Lovely Bones ), Eric Bana (The Time Traveler's Wife), Cate Blanchett (Robin Hood, Elizabeth movies), Olivia Williams (An Education, Miss Austen Regrets) and P&P 's very own Tom Hollander has just been released online. It's quite different from what we, P&P fans , were used to seeing JW 's new film, but it's still very interesting with wonderful and very talented actors on it. Though Tom Hollander ( Mr. Collins ) looks to (still) be sporting a blonde hair color (much like in Any Human Heart with Matthew Macfadyen ), and he looked and acted funny on the trailer, lol. What do you all think??? Watch the ' Hanna ' HD trailer below ... (source: TheTrailerSpot ) Trailer Screen Captures featuring Tom Hollander coming shortly

An Interview with Laurie Viera Rigler, author of Austen Addict novels

Image
I had the honor and pleasure of doing this fun interview with the lovely Laurie Viera Rigler (photo, artworks, and banners used her are courtesy of Laurie herself. Thanks! ), best-selling author of Jane Austen inspired novels , Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict and Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict (as well as the creator and writer of Sex and the Austen Girl , the web series inspired by her novels). I must confess, I'm not a Jane Austen addict (probably because I'm more of a P&P addict , lol), but I had a great time reading both of her delightful, fun, witty, and fabulous novels. I couldn't put them down when I read them recently. They were quite a page-turner and I loved and enjoy reading them. Not too mention, in her novels, Pride and Prejudice was the favorite book of the main characters/heroines Jane Mansfield and Courtney Stone . There were lots of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet mentions too as well as the 1995 BBC/A&E P&P mini

Happy 235th Birthday Jane Austen!

Image
Reposting this here (slightly edited), from my similar post last year (since I can't think of anything better to write than what I wrote last year , lol) for this very special occasion , a birthday tribute post to the lovely, genius and way ahead of her time, beloved English novelist, the one and only Jane Austen . Remembering and celebrating her birthday today, Jane Austen , the woman who wrote the original Pride and Prejudice novel (which had been made into several TV and Film adaptations including the 2005 film, Pride & Prejudice ), which was her first (can you believe unsuccessful ?!) submission to a publisher back in 1797 ( 213 years ago) titled "First Impressions" (later changed to "Pride and Prejudice" ). She revised " First Impressions " and published it entitled " Pride and Prejudice " in 1813 ( 197 years ago).  Jane Austen was born on this day back on December 16th, 1775 (she would've been 235 years old!!! toda
