Bleeker Street has released the first trailer and poster for the political thriller Brad Anderson's political thriller Beirut (previously titled High Wire Act ) starring  Rosamund Pike   & Jon Hamm . Beirut is a bout A U.S. diplomat (Hamm), who flees Lebanon in 1972 after a tragic incident at his home. Ten years later, he is called back to war-torn Beirut by CIA operatives (Pike) to negotiate for the life of a friend he left behind. Written by Tony Gilroy (the Bourne films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ), the film is set to open on  April 13, 2018 . The film also stars Dean Norris, Larry Pine, and Shea Whigham. According to The Hollywood Reporter ,  Rosamund Pike   has joined Mad Men's Jon Hamm in the upcoming political action thriller High Wire Act. With the film aiming for a January 2016 start, Rosamund will play  a CIA field agent working undercover at the American embassy who’s tasked with keeping the diplomat alive and ensuring the mission is a success.
