Rosamund Pike just attended (with co-star Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie ) the Jack Reacher Japan Premiere at Tokyo International Forum and a Press Conference at Ritz Carlton on January 9, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan. The film opens in Japan, February 1st ! Speaking of Jack Reacher , the film is doi ng very well in US theaters with $60 million production budget and has now grossed (slowly, but stead y) with $66.3 million (thus far as of January 8th, 2013 ) on its 3rd weekend in domestic box-office (I'm sure it'll make more as it's only been out for 3 weeks!) and $55 million in Foreign and a worldwide total of $121 million (thus far), according to Box Office Mojo . Rosamund Pike has joined yet another new film to her ever growing list of upcoming films! According to Deadline , Rosamund is set to star with Guy Pearce in an Aussie drama Violet Town . She was recently cast in these films:  A Long Way Down , director Pascal Chaumeil ’s ( Heartbreaker ) adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel of the same title, A Long Way Down , in which Rosamund co-stars with Pierce Brosnan and Toni Collete .  Hector and the Search for Happiness , a dramedy, in addition to The World's End . Also, she has another film that's been in development for a while and is now listed in pre-production: The Sea with Rufus Sewell and Ciarán Hinds . Plus two more in development: Godmother (2014) and Untitled Nick Hornby Project . Miss Pike will surely be super busy with many upcoming film projects coming soon!   A new full trailer for Jack Reacher starring Tom Cruise (as the title character) and Rosamund Pike (as Helen Rodin ) has just been released yesterday via Yahoo! Movies with a new UK poster via TotalFilm . Both of the film's website and facebook page has been slightly updated. The trailer looks great and Rosamund appears on it too! I've been wondering when the full trailer will be released for this one. Now, that it's here, I can't wait to see this movie! Summer's over! Yep, you know what that means, right? New TV series/returning shows and movies to look forward to from our favorite P&P actors! Here's my annual list of some P&P '05 alumni with a new movie and TV series or mini-series starting this month through December of 2012 (as well as a few upcoming films to see in 2013!). What's interesting though is that Entertainment Weekly has also featured the following films: Flight , Skyfall , Anna Karenina , and Jack Reacher in their annual Fall Movies We Can't Wait To See for this year! The first still of Rosamund Pike (see above) as Helen Rodin , a defense attorney in her upcoming film Jack Reacher (with Tom Cruise ) was released today via the film's twitter page . The image features a first look of Rosamund with Tom Cruise along with Jack Reacher crime series author Lee Child , who appears in the background (in a cameo) as a cop. More Jack Reacher stills here via Tom Cruise's official website!   Richard Jenkins , Werner Hersog , David Oyelowo and Robert Duvall also co-star. Rosamund Pike , as aforementioned, plays the role of Helen Rodin who joins and teams up with badass Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) to investigate a shooting after the accused man pleads innocence and calls on Reacher for help.  Rodin must square off against her father (Richard Jenkins), the district attorney of Indianapolis, to defend the accused.
