Keira Knightley   attended the UK premiere of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit   with co-stars Chris Pine and Kenneth Branagh   on Monday, January 20, 2014 . The premiere was  held at the Vue West End, Leicester Square, London, England. The film opens in UK Cinemas this Friday, January 24th . Speaking of Jack Ryan , according to Box Office Mojo , it opened soft in its opening weekend  Domestic Box-Office here in the U.S.  at #4 with an estimated $18 Million (with a reported $60 Million production budget), but it did much better internationally in its foreign Box-Office weekend debut .  Coinciding with its domestic debut,  Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit  opened to $22.2 million from 29 foreign markets . As previously posted here , Paramount Pictures has announced that  director  Kenneth Branagh 's  Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit   starring  Chris Pine  ( Jack Ryan ),   Keira Knightley   ( Cathy ) ,  Kevin Costner ,  Kenneth Branagh , Peter Andersson, David Paymer, and Colman Feore, has moved to a   January 17, 2014   release. It was originally slated to hit theaters on December 25 of this year. The film will also be receiving a release in   IMAX  theaters. With today's news that Jack Ryan author Tom Clancy (RIP) had just passed away at the age of 66 in Baltimore, MD,  the new Jack Ryan film is alive again with Paramount just releasing a new poster featuring Chris Pine  in the title role above. Also, there's a slightly new title and link to movie's website too and it's officially titled, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit  (not One , as previously rumored). A twitter and Facebook page has also been revealed via the poster above. There were recent rumors that Paramount may shift this movie with Martin Scorsese's new film, The Wolf of Wall Street and may be pushed back to January 17, 2014, but no confirmation of that as of yet as it's still scheduled to be released this Christmas Day with a trailer finally going to be released soon (perhaps tomorrow or Friday). According to /Film , Keira Knightley 's upcoming action/thriller film Jack Ryan , which she co-stars with Chris Pine ( Star Trek Into Darkness ), Kevin Costner ( Man of Steel ), and Kenneth Branagh ( Thor ; who also directed this film) has a new title, Jack Ryan: Shadow One . First of all, let me just say that I love all the Jack Ryan series of films that starred Harrison Ford ( Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger ), Alec Baldwin ( The Hunt for Red October ), and Ben Affleck ( The Sum of All Fears ) in that order and hearing the news that they're doing a reboot (like Hollywood has been doing a lot lately)..I thought what? another one when are they gonna come up with something new and original? lol...'cause those previous films for JR were already great. But then, again, if they can come up with something good for the reboot or prequel to update a previous successful franchise/series of films I already loved and enjoyed. I really don't mind...like for instance, the recently released the X-Men: First Class film and the Batman trilogy . Now, those were very well done. Also, if they have a great cast and story...I most definitely welcome a remake, prequel, or reboot of any films already done in the past as long as they are made reall...
