Keri Russell just attended The Cinema Society with Alice and Olivia screening of Sony Pictures Classics' Austenland at Landmark's Sunshine Cinema earlier tonight, August 12, 2013 in New York City. Also, Keri (with her Austenland co-stars, producers, and director) was at the other premiere of 'Austenland' at ArcLight Hollywood last week, August 8, 2013 in Hollywood, California. A new poster for the upcoming Austen related movie  Austenland  starring  Keri Russell  ( Felicity ,  The Magic of Ordinary Days ) has been released via Moviefone . The film previously competed at Sundance Film Festival 2013  in a  Dramatic Competition  last January (22, 24, and 26) and nab a  worldwide distribution  from  Sony Pictures Classics , according to  The Hollywood Reporter . A trailer hasn't been released yet (just a couple of short clips from Sundance). It'll have its limited  theatrical release on August 16 in New York and Los Angeles and will be adding more cities soon after. Also,  Austenland website  has been slightly updated again, but just the main page. It's still under construction though.

The movie Austenland starring Keri Russell ( Felicity , The Magic of Ordinary Days ) just competed at this month's Sundance Film Festival 2013 in a Dramatic Competition and nab a worldwide distribution from Sony Pictures , according to The Hollywood Reporter . That means this movie will have a theatrical release (both domestic and international) and very soon! Also, the Austenland website has been slightly updated with a movie poster (featuring Keri Russell ) that was seen at Sundance, which you can see to your left. " Austenland " plays at Sundance this week and next, with screenings scheduled for January 22 , January 24 and January 26 . Finally some good news on the upcoming film, Austenland (based on the novel of the same name by Shannon Hale ) starring Keri Russell ( Felicity , The Magic of Ordinary Days , August Rush ), which was financed and produced by Stephenie Meyer , the best-selling author of the Twilight series . It is an official selection (and in Dramatic competition ) of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival . The 2013 Sundance Film Festival has unveiled today the lineups for U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions and Austenland is one of the 16 US films competing in the Dramatic competition . According to Hollywood Reporter , there's a new Jane Austen related independent rom-com film titled Austenland (based on the novel of the same name by Shannon Hale ) starring Keri Russell ( Felicity , The Magic of Ordinary Days , August Rush ) currently in production and about to start filming this week in the UK. It will be financed and produced by Stephenie Meyer , the best-selling author of the Twilight series .
