Okay, so it's  been a very long time, like about 8 long years since I last  posted here  about a  P&P reference  or  P&P/Darcy/Elizabeth mentioned   in  P&P inspired  books or  other non- P&P   books , in  movies ,  TV shows ,  magazines ,  reviews , or  celebrities  mentioning  Pride and Prejudice   / Jane Austen . I thought I'd update and post here a more recent   P&P   References ,  from the most popular  Jane Austen novel , the  1995   mini-series ,  P&P (2005) movie  or any of the  P&P characters  (ie.  Elizabeth & Darcy ) that were  referenced  a lot in books, magazines, movies, TV shows, reviews, etc...

PBS Masterpiece is premiering a double header tonight of two period dramas that will air back to back starting at 8 pm and I thought I'd post both in the same post here. The first TV Miniseries that will be airing at 8/7c will be Matthew Macfadyen and Hayley Atwell 's 4-part Limited Series , Howards End , which first premiered in UK's BBC One on November 12, 2017 and the following year on April 8, 2018 on Star in the U.S. Since I didn't have Starz channel (it's a paid premium cable channel), I didn't get to see it on TV when it premiered back in 2018. I saw it somewhere online though, but it's been a while. So, I'm so glad PBS Masterpiece is premiering this drama tonight (and airing all 4 episodes)! ITV and PBS Masterpiece has released an official trailer (and a few new official stills) from their upcoming Jane Austen TV adaptation Sanditon , which will air later this year (in the Fall, on ITV in the UK) and in 2020 on PBS Masterpiece (in the U.S.). The first ever television adaptation of Jane Austen’s unfinished novel Sanditon is coming to ITV (in the UK) in Fall 2019 and on MASTERPIECE on PBS in the 2020 season! Written by multi-award winning screenwriter Andrew Davies ( Pride and Prejudice 1995 , Les Misérables , Mr. Selfridge ), Sanditon stars Rose Williams , Theo James , Kris Marshall, Crystal Clarke, and Anne Reid among others. Another new Jane Austen screen adaptation to look forward to! According to Screen Daily , Oscar-nominee Charlotte Rampling ( 45 Years ) is to star in a film adaptation of Jane Austen ’s never-before dramatised final novel Sanditon .  FYI: Charlotte Rampling previously co-starred twice with Keira Knightley in Never Let Me Go (along with Carey Mulligan ) and The Duchess movies.
