According with Variety , “ A Dangerous Method ” starring Keira Knightley , Viggo Mortensen , and Michael Fassbender will be shown at The 68th annual Venice film festival ! The 68th Venice Film Festival is shaping up as an especially strong edition, with a slew of hot titles secured more than three months in advance of its Aug. 31 start. Lido competition berths are set for Roman Polanski’s “Carnage,” David Cronenberg’s “A Dangerous Method” and Russian auteur Aleksandr Sokurov’s highly anticipated “Faust,” the fourth and final installment in his “Men of Power” series. Keira Knightley recently wrapped up her The Children's Hour play last April 30th and is here in the U.S. promoting her latest film , Last Night . She appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart yesterday ( May 9th ), which you can see new photos and a video clip below of Keira posing for photos and signing autographs to fans outside just before she appeared on Jon Stewart 's show. On that same day, she also appeared on NBC 's Today show (see video cli p of it below and photos here: On the Today Show via Sweet-Keira ). She also appeared on Live with Regis & Kelly this morning .Unfortunately, no photos or video available on this one yet. I'll post it here when I find a video clip for it. There's a slightly new trailer , poster (see to your left via Sweet-Keira ), and a theatrical release date (Friday, May 6th ) for Last Night , the Massy Tadjedin -directed relationship drama about what happens when a married couple is separated, and tempted by others. The film stars Keira Knightley , Sam Worthington , Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet . Last Night made its debut at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival . Keira Knightley is now set to play the title role  Anna Karenina with Joe Wright directing ( FYI: This will be the 6th collaboration between KK and JW including the  2009 anti-domestic violence ad for Women’s Aid [ Watch KK's Cut short film here ] and two Chanel commercials: 2007 and 2011 ), Variety confirmed . There's a new trailer for  Last Night starring Keira Knightley , Sam Worthington , Eva Mendes , and Guillaume Canet . The film follows the story of a married couple ( Knightley and Worthington) whose commitment to each other is tested when they are apart for a night; the husband away on work with a colleague he's attracted to and the wife as she coincidentally runs into a past love. Watch the new trailer (source: KelsiKnightley ) Speaking of Last Night , Variety reports that Tribeca Film has landed theatrical , VOD and certain digital rights to the film, with Miramax retaining home video, TV sales and long-term digital rights. The film is now being prepped for a spring theatrical release in major markets like Los Angeles and New York with VOD also in the works.

According to Up and Comers , Keira Knightley will NOT be co-starring with Twilight 's Robert Pattinson in his upcoming film,  Cosmopolis (as previously rumored and posted here ), which will be directed by David Cronenberg who just directed Keira in her upcoming film, A Dangerous Method . The Rome Film Festival website also has a new HQ still of Keira (as Joanna Reed ) from Last Night film (as you can see to your left...see a larger version of it below...). Here are a list of P&P '05 alumni with a new movie starting this Fall through Winter of 2010 . But first... It looks like P&P 's The 5 Bennet sisters are mostly the P&P '05 actors with new movie releases this year starting with Talulah Riley ( Mary Bennet ) in a small role in this summer's current #1 blockbuster hit, Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio, Cilian Murphy, Tom Hardy, and Ken Watanabe to name a few. Up next is a reunion between Keira Knightley ( Elizabeth Bennet ) and Carey Mulligan ( Kitty Bennet ) in Never Let Me Go (last year it was Carey and Rosamund in the Oscar nominated film, An Education ). Carey also stars in another film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleep with boyfriend Shia LeBeauf and Michael Douglas, while Keira has two more new films London Boulevard with Colin Farrell and Last Night with Sam Worthington and Eva Mendes. One of Keira Knightley 's new films Last Night , which she co-starred with Eva Mendes , Avatar 's Sam Worthington , and Guillaume Canet is set to be released sometime in late 2010 . According to Keira 's Last Night 's co-star Eva Mendes in her new interview with Cinema Blend , Last Night will be released later this year and will premiere at the Rome Film Festival . Here's part of her interview from Cinema Blend : A film that is definitely happening , however, is Last Night , a film in which Mendes co-stars with Kiera Knightly and Sam Worthington . Made prior to the sale of Miramax, the film has been hanging in limbo waiting for the company to be purchased. Now that the company is close to finding a new owner , the film, according to Mendes, will finally start showing this fall, starting at the Rome Film Festival, which opens this October.

The 23-year-old British actress was later seen catching up her New York Times at a local cafe and socializing with costar Guillaume Canet .
