A few handsome Darcys, a couple Wickhams, and a Bingley, please?! How lucky is Miss Keira Knightley to have worked with these handsome P&P/Austen actors (including a few Matthews: Macfadyen , Rhys , and Goode )? Then, she was (and still is to this day) the only Elizabeth Bennet actress to be the youngest and exact same age ( 20 ) as her EB book counterpart when her   Pride & Prejudice  movie was released almost 10 years ago (in 2005 ). Now, she's also, the only Elizabeth Bennet to have worked with (most of them more than once) a few Darcy actors (her P&P movie and Anna Karenina co-star Matthew Macfadyen , Colin Firth of  Pride and Prejudice 1995 and her Love Actually / Steve co-star, and her The Edge of Love co-star Matthew Rhys of Death Comes To Pemberley ), a couple Wickham s (her ex-boyfriend and former P&P movie/ The Suicide Brothers co-star Rupert Friend and her The Imitation Game co-star Matthew Goode of Death Comes To Pemb...

It's been a while since I've posted here a  P&P reference or P&P/Darcy/Elizabeth mentioned   in P&P inspired  books or other non- P&P   books , in  movies , TV shows ,  magazines ,  reviews , or  celebrities  mentioning  Pride and Prejudice   / Jane Austen . I thought I'd update and post here a more recent P&P References , from the most popular  Jane Austen novel , the 1995   mini-series ,  P&P (2005) movie  or any of the  P&P characters  (ie.  Elizabeth & Darcy ) that were  referenced a lot in books, magazines, movies, TV shows, reviews, etc... Here are a few newer ones of the many references I've compiled here to share with you all, which I've actually first posted  here . If you have anything new to share that I haven't posted here. I've been wanting to see Rupert Friend 's short film   Steve starring Colin Firth , Keira Knightley , and Tom Mison . As I was browsing youtube, I was in luck as I found that someone uploaded the full short film in 2 parts . Awesome! This short film was interesting, bizarre, funny, and wonderfully acted by all 3 Austen/P&P actors Colin Firth (who was great here in the title role Steve , a creepy and needy neighbor), Keira (as the woman , interesting accent...sounds like either Scottish or Irish...my guess would be the former), and Tom Mison (as the man , companion to Keira 's character) , and pretty good writing and direction by Rupert Friend (on his directorial debut ). Two short films (starring Pride & Prejudice actors) opening in theaters through Stars in Shorts this month, starting today ! Go see these short films, if these are available in your local theaters! Why see them? Well, if you're a P&P fan in general, you'll see and recognize a trio of P&P actors who played Lizzie Bennet ( P&P 2005 ), Bingley ( Lost In Austen 2008), and Darcy ( P&P 1995 ) crossover from 3 different P&P adaptations all in the same film being directed by the talented Wickham ( P&P 2005 ) in Steve. Two short films (starring Pride & Prejudice actors) opening in theaters through Stars in Shorts later this month, starting on September 28th ! Judi Dench is a neophyte in the complicated landscape of internet dating in “ Friend Request Pending .” Colin Firth is an unusually needy neighbor to Keira Knightley and Tom Mison in “ Steve ” (directed by Rupert Friend ). The STARS IN SHORTS release will open in theaters throughout the US and Canada beginning September 28th and will continue to expand in the following weeks . A list of participating theaters are available by clicking on the DATES & LOCATIONS . Together with the theatrical run, these great films films will be available on iTunes Stores in 54 countries across the globe and on Pay Per View beginning October 9th . Rupert Friend just promoted the short film he directed titled Steve ( see trailer here! ) starring Colin Firth (in the title role) , Keira Knightley , and Tom Mison on Rhode Island 's local news ABC6 last night as it was screened in Rhode Island International Film Festival (one of the many festivals it screened/premiered to since last year). UPDATED 8/18/11: Rupert Friend honored a Crystal Image Award for his work on 'Steve' Congrats RF! Also, check out 2 new Steve stills feat. Keira Knightley here! Rupert chatted about the short film, Oscar Winner Colin Firth , and his desire to do a feature film as a director . The interview also featured a few clips from the short film. Empire Online has new stills (including one I've already posted here ) and a teaser trailer (featuring Colin Firth as Steve ) in Steve , a short film directed by Rupert Friend .  Colin Firth is also featured in one of the two posters (from Sweet-Keira ) of Steve as well. As previously posted here , Colin Firth ( P&P '95 's Mr. Darcy ) did a short film titled, Steve directed by Rupert Friend ( P&P '05 's Mr. Wickham ), which was filmed in 4 days . Now, I've found out new info that Keira Knightley ( P&P '05 's Elizabeth Bennet ) and Tom Mison ( Lost In Austen 's Mr. Bingley ) is also in Steve . Very interesting! Check out the official site for Steve with P&P Actors in three different P&P versions ( 1995 , 2005 , and Lost in Austen 2008 ) are all in the same short film. Looks like we have Darcy 1995 , Lizzie 2005 , and Bingley ( LA 2008 ), being directed by Wickham 2005 ...brilliant casting (though where's Jane or Lydia Bennet ? lol) and director and keeping it in the P&P family, eh?
