BritBox just released an official trailer  and a new poster (see above ^) last Tuesday of their upcoming miniseries,  The Other Bennet Sister   starring  Ella Bruccoleri  with a set premiere date for the UK in  March  and U.S. & Canada in  May 2026 ! Two new upcoming Pride and Prejudice related limited series are coming sometime soon or later this year. The Bennet Sister (BBC/BritBox) and Netflix's own Pride and Prejudice adaptation. Netflix has released a promo poster (see above ^)   and set a streaming  premiere date for its upcoming miniseries, Death By Lightning  starring  Matthew Macfadyen  (as  Charles Guiteau ) and Michael Shannon (President Garfield). It will premiere on Netflix on November 6, 2025 . 

Last October 2024, BBC announced a new drama The Other Bennet Sister .The ten part-series is a fresh spin around the ballroom for one of Jane Austen’s most unassuming characters: Mary Bennet ! Deadline Hollywood reported yesterday that BritBox streamer is on board to co-producing and has taken the rights to stream it for the U.S. and Canada. And today, Deadline also reported that Ella Bruccoleri (Call The Midwife, Bridgerton) has been cast in the main role, Mary Bennet in The Other Bennet Sister ! Tom Hollander   stars as Truman Capote in the upcoming FX 's limited series, FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans , which is the second installment in Ryan Murphy 's FEUD anthology. Last night the 78th Golden Globe Awards was held virtually with three of Pride & Prejudice (2005) film actors nominated in three different categories: Rosamund Pike (in Molly Goddard dress) - Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (for Netflix's I Care A Lot), Carey Mulligan (in Prada dress) - Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama (for Focus Features' Most Promising Young Woman), and Donald Sutherland - Best Performance by an Actor in Supporting Role for Television (for HBO's The Undoing). Out of the three Bennets (Jane, Kitty, and Mr. Bennet) nominated for a GG award, unfortunately, Carey Mulligan and Donald Sutherland lost...and only Rosamund Pike won!  It's her third nomination and she finally won! I guess third time's a charm. It's about time and her win here was very well-deserved as she was amazing in I Care A Lot movie! A big congratulations to Miss Pike for her first ever Golden Globe win!!!

The teaser trailer has been released late January for HBO's upcoming thriller and limited series, The Undoing starring Nicole Kidman , Hugh Grant , Edgar Ramirez , and Donald Sutherland . From writer David E. Kelley ( Big Little Lies ) and director Susanne Bier ( The Night Manager ), the new limited series focuses on Nicole Kidman’s Grace Fraser, a successful therapist, and her devoted husband, Jonathan (Hugh Grant), and their young son who attends an elite private school in New York City. A chasm opens in Grace's seemingly perfect life: a violent death, a missing spouse and a chain of terrible revelations. Donald Sutherland plays Grace’s father Franklin Reinhardt: a retired financier and loving grandfather, tasked with protecting his family when turbulent revelations come to light. During the Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour presentation, AMC Networks announced various premiere dates for new and returning shows and shared new images for highly anticipated titles including  Quiz starring Matthew Macfadyen ( Succession ) and Fleabag 's Sian Clifford . Quiz is set to premiere  Monday, May 25 at 9/8c  and air for three consecutive nights through May 27th in the same timeslot. The limited series (three-part TV Adaptation) depicts the true story about Charles and Diana Ingram (Macfadyen & Clifford) who attempted to scam the game show  Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in their native England. PBS Masterpiece is premiering a double header tonight of two period dramas that will air back to back starting at 8 pm and I thought I'd post both in the same post here. The first TV Miniseries that will be airing at 8/7c will be Matthew Macfadyen and Hayley Atwell 's 4-part Limited Series , Howards End , which first premiered in UK's BBC One on November 12, 2017 and the following year on April 8, 2018 on Star in the U.S. Since I didn't have Starz channel (it's a paid premium cable channel), I didn't get to see it on TV when it premiered back in 2018. I saw it somewhere online though, but it's been a while. So, I'm so glad PBS Masterpiece is premiering this drama tonight (and airing all 4 episodes)!
