Updating here with a new post (from my last five previous posts, from last year and when I've started about it  7 years ago or so back in 2008! ) about The Many Faces of Elizabeth Bennet  to add Cindy Busby as Elizabeth (Scott) ( in the long list of actresses who played EB on either the big or small screen since 1940) from the new Hallmark's WinterFest 2016 Movies with January 2016 premiere of Unleashing Mr. Darcy and   Lily James as Elizabeth Bennet in the upcoming Sony/Screen Gems' February 2016 release , Pride and Prejudice and Zombies , a  parody adaptation   of Jane Austen 's classic Pride and Prejudice novel. So, I've created another new post here and updated the previous post.

Taking a little pause here from our on going P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event ...to celebrate another big P&P anniversary , this time the 20th Anniversary of the Andrew Davies penned 1995 Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle . It first aired in the UK's BBC One network back in September 24th, 1995 (exactly 20 years ago today)! Happy 20th Anniversary P&P 1995!! September 2015 is less than 5 months away, I know, but it's going to be a big P&P anniversary month . Pride & Prejudice fans will have a double P&P anniversaries to celebrate come September. Whether you, as a P&P fan , prefer one or the other or both the 1995 TV mini-series ( BBC and A&E) and 2005 film ( Focus Features ) versions of Jane Austen 's over two centuries classic Pride and Prejudice , both screen adaptations are turning a decade or two with anniversary milestone of their own TV broadcast and film Cinema release in September . All these familiar Austen Actors (from various and  6 different Austen adapted TV and films: Pride & Prejudice , Sense and Sensibility , Emma , Mansfield Park , Persuasion , and Northanger Abbey as well as other Austen inspired films: Becoming Jane , The Jane Austen Book Club , Lost In Austen , From Prada to Nada , etc.) all have new movies coming out this year. Usually, I would just post about the Must-See TV & films starring P&P (2005) Actors (as after all, this blog is all about them and the P&P movie I love so much) but I like most of these other Austen Actors (ie. Emily Blunt , Anne Hathaway , James McAvoy , Kate Winslet , Hugh Dancy , etc.) too. They are Austen related after all, and  being a big movie aficionado that I am, I couldn't help but notice that a lot of Austen Actors are in so many new films coming out this year (even in the past and previous years). I always see trailers and TV spots whenever I watch a movie in theaters or on TV...

Tonight (and every Friday nights at 8/7C ) watch Jennifer Ehle ( Pride and Prejudice 1995 's Elizabeth Bennet ) on the series premiere of A Gifted Man on CBS . A Gifted Man is a drama starring Patrick Wilson ( Morning Glory , The Phantom of the Opera ) as Michael Holt , a charismatic, ultra-motivated surgeon whose life changes forever when his deceased ex-wife ( Jennifer Ehle ) begins teaching him the meaning of life from the "hereafter." Rachelle Lefevre ( Barney's Version , Twilight movies),  Margo Martindale , and Pablo Schreiber also co-star.   "Pilot" When a well-known surgeon begins seeing his dead ex-wife he starts questioning the meaning of life and his place in the world. A Pride and Prejudice ~ The King's Speech Reunion Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle reunited 15 years later as they recently co-starred in the 14 Oscar nominated, 12 BAFTA nominated, and 7 Golden Globe (with a win for Best Actor for CF ) award winning 2010 film, The King's Speech . They were last seen together 15 years ago in the much loved Pride and Prejudice ( 1995 BBC/A&E TV Miniseries ), which they famously played Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet . Toronto International Film Fest announces 2010 lineup This morning in Toronto, Piers Handling and Cameron Bailey, co-directors of the Toronto International Film Festival ( TIFF ), announced the galas and special presentations coming to the 35th edition of the noted festival. They include:   Never Let Me Go , an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s acclaimed novel; The Conspirator , Robert Redford’s film about Lincoln’s assassination; and The Town , a Boston-set thriller directed by Ben Affleck (watch the trailer above). Looks like Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle , better known to Jane Austen/P&P fans as Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet from the 1995 BBC miniseries, Pride and Prejudice are reuniting in a new film , The King's Speech , slated to be released in theaters on November 26th , later this year. Not too mention Colin Firth is working yet again with another P&P 05 actor ...this time it's Rupert Friend ( P&P 05 's Mr. Wickham )...so it's more like Darcy and Wickham working together again in the same movie.   Interesting...it seems Colin Firth is always working with other Pride and Prejudice/Jane Austen alumni actors esp. P&P 05 actors (see Six Degrees of Colin Firth ...scroll down to the bottom of the page for it!)... Awesome! He has previously co-starred with Rupert in The Last Legion (see Colin and Rupert Legion still above...also, with another Lizzy.... Happy Good Friday! Opening today in (limited release) theaters is  Academy Award® nominee Carey Mulligan ' s new film, The Greatest . Go SEE it! FYI: Besides Carey co-starring in this film. I just noticed that another P&P actress , Jennifer Ehle (aka P&P '95 's Elizabeth Bennet ) has a small role in this film. She plays the character named Joan . So, yeah...P&P 2005 Kitty Bennet and P&P 1995 Elizabeth Bennet in the same movie! How cool! So many actors have portrayed the most popular fictional couple Elizabeth Bennet & Fitzwilliam Darcy (aka Mr. Darcy ) in Jane Austen 's classic novel Pride and Prejudice , which has been adapted from Stage (1936)/Broadway ( First Impression 1959), tv/miniseries (1938, 1952, 1967, 1980 , and 1995 ), and films ( 1940 , 1958, and 2005 , as well as inspired P&P films such as Pride and Prejudice: A Latter-Day Comedy 2003 , Bride & Prejudice 2004, and Bridget Jones movies to name a few ) numerous times since 1936 (stage version) to the 2005 Oscar nominated film version starring Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen. I'm sure many of you P&P fans have seen at least 1 or 2 versions of P&P . I've seen 3 ( 1980 , 1995 , and 2005 ) of them.
