Carey Mulligan has recently been cast to lead star in a new Netflix movie titled The Dig , according to THR . It is said to be based on a true story set at the turn of World War II, which focuses on a widow Edith Pretty that will be played by Carey. Lily James just joined the cast as an archeological student named Peggy Preston . Ralph Fiennes also star. It aims to start filming in early 2020. Read more info. via THR below...

As previously posted here , a few Downton Abbey cast just had a mini reunion in the currently UK released (April 20th) period historical drama, The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society starring Lily James (aka Lady Rose in DA),  Penelope Wilton  (Isobel Crawley),  Matthew Goode (Henry Talbot), and Jessica Brown Findlay (the late Lady Sybil Crawley). Based on the New York Times best-selling book by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, the film is finally getting a U.S. release date, which is this coming summer in August 10th on Netflix . Focus Features released Thursday the second trailer to director Joe Wright 's new historical period drama  Darkest Hour  (scripted by Anthony McCarten of The Theory of Everything) starring Gary Oldman , Kristin Scott Thomas , and Lily James . Also, two new poster s and still s (via Focus Features...see them below!) for this film has been released as well. Darkest Hour opens in select US Theaters  November 22nd ! Okay, I'm beyond late in posting my film review of Screen Gems' Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   film  starring  Lily James & Sam Riley , which was released one year ago this month  (February 5th, 2016). I was going to watch this movie when it was released, but I got busy and didn't get a chance to see it when it was still showing in theaters. So, I missed it. I thought I'll just wait to see this when it's released either on premium cable or Netflix. Of course, it took several months before it finally premiered on Starz. So, yeah, I just saw this movie recently and finally got to write down here what I thought about this movie. Better late than never, right? Here's my PPZ Movie Review ...

I previously posted here last March that  Pride & Prejudice  director  Joe Wright   is in talks to direct another Churchill related movie, titled Darkest Hour . Here's an update with a confirmation of JW directing the WWII film with recent casting and theatrical release dates announced for both US and International. Also, with production and filming underway, JW is reteaming with Working Title Films  (formerly Working Title Productions) and Focus Features , which will be his 4th feature film after P&P , Atonement , and Anna Karenina and 5th after Hanna (Focus Features) . The main cast are interesting choices with Gary Oldman as PM Winston Churchill , Kristin Scott Thomas as Churchill's wife Clementine , and  Lily James  (aka Pride and Prejudice and Zombies 's own Elizabeth Bennet )   as Churchill's personal secretary Elizabeth Nel . John Hurt and Ben Mendelsohn also star. Looks like no P&P actor , for the first time, is part...

Now showing in US theaters today, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   f ilm  starring  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote ,  Douglas Booth ,  Jack Huston  and  Matt Smith .  Whether you like it or not. Just remember, no one is forcing you to see this movie. You have a choice to either watch it or skip it. I'm going to watch it, but not this weekend, as I have too many things to do. Three new upcoming TV movie and films , inspired of and related to Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice are going to be released on TV (Hallmark) and in US Theaters/UK Cinemas whether P&P/Austen fans like them or not. I'll say, a true P&P Fan will watch every adaptation, variations, or inspired of versions of Pride and Prejudice and be open-minded about it/them (or in this case, them...as 3 of them are going to be released this year) whether one likes them or not. For me, I watched them all (well, most of them. See all my Pride and Prejudice Reviews , minus these 3 new movies, for now...) as I love watching different versions or interpretations of my favorite P&P characters (especially Elizabeth & Darcy ) on screen (big or small). Also, with these new movies related to P&P, it keeps Austen 's P&P characters and novel alive. After all, Pride and Prejudice novel is not just a classic masterpiece and almost 203 years old (it turns 203 years thi...

Updating here with a new post (from my last five previous posts, from last year and when I've started about it  7 years ago or so back in 2008! ) about The Many Faces of Elizabeth Bennet  to add Cindy Busby as Elizabeth (Scott) ( in the long list of actresses who played EB on either the big or small screen since 1940) from the new Hallmark's WinterFest 2016 Movies with January 2016 premiere of Unleashing Mr. Darcy and   Lily James as Elizabeth Bennet in the upcoming Sony/Screen Gems' February 2016 release , Pride and Prejudice and Zombies , a  parody adaptation   of Jane Austen 's classic Pride and Prejudice novel. So, I've created another new post here and updated the previous post.

Two months from now, Seth Grahame-Smith 's  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   film  starring  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote ,  Douglas Booth ,  Jack Huston  and  Matt Smith will be released in U.S. Theaters ( February 5th ) and in UK Cinemas ( February 11th ). Lionsgate UK, the UK distributor for PPZ movie , has released several P&P character posters (similar to The Hunger Games movies' character posters approach, where they released 2 posters at a specific UK movies' related websites/blogs at a time...after all, Lionsgate was the same distributor for all THG films), a total of 8 (thus far). They released 2 posters at a time to the following websites: Radio Times , Digital Spy , Metro.co.UK , and IMPawards . 

A new international trailer was recently released for the upcoming Seth Grahame-Smith 's  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   film  starring  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote ,  Douglas Booth ,  Jack Huston  and  Matt Smith . The new trailer is basically the same, an extended version o f the US trailer with a few new footage that's slightly spoilerish (or not if you already know the story of P&P). There's a new poster featuring Elizabeth & Darcy and the rest of the main/supporting  characters as well as new Funko Pop! Vinyl figures of PPZ Movie characters including Darcy & Elizabeth. A new poster has been released via Impawards for the upcoming P&P adaptation,  Seth Grahame-Smith 's  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   film  starring  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote ,  Douglas Booth ,  Jack Huston  and  Matt Smith . The new poster with the tag line: Bloody Lovely featuring the main leads Lily James as Elizabeth Bennet and Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy . Screen Gems/Sony will release  PPZ  in  US Theaters  on   February 5th, 2016 .

The UK trailer for the upcoming P&P parody , Seth Grahame-Smith 's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies film starring Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote , Douglas Booth , Jack Huston and Matt Smith was released last October 9th and today the longer US trailer was released by Sony.   Screen Gems/Sony will release PPZ in US Theaters on February 5th, 2016 . The UK trailer for the upcoming P&P parody , Seth Grahame-Smith 's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies film starring Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote , Douglas Booth , Jack Huston and Matt Smith has just been released today. Apparently, the US trailer version is coming soon (according to PPZ's official twitter account and in about two weeks or so as Collider reported ). Carnival Films and ITV launched the final Season 6 of Downton Abbey   ( Penelope Wilton co-star as Isobel Crawley ) yesterday with a press launch in London, where journalists were treated to an exclusive screening of the first episode , followed by a series of Q&A ’s with Executive Producers Gareth Neame , Julian Fellowes and Liz Trubridge , along with cast members including Maggie Smith , Hugh Bonneville and Joanne Froggatt . Yesterday ( July 11th ) at San Diego Comic Con 2015 (SDCC), the upcoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies film had their PPZ Panel with cast : Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote , Douglas Booth , Jack Huston and Matt Smith along with director Burr Steers and the book’s author Seth Grahame-Smith . They also attended another event, SiriusXM's Entertainment Weekly Radio Channel Broadcasts . The PPZ movie is slated for US Theater release on February 5th, 2016 ! As previously posted here late last June 24th , Pride and Prejudice and Zombies will have a PPZ panel at Hall H at the 2015 Comic-Con , which starts this week (from July 9-12) at San Diego Convention Center. Its  July 11 panel  will feature  PPZ  cast including  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote , Douglas Booth , Jack Huston and Matt Smith along with director Burr Steers and the book’s author Seth Grahame-Smith . Entertainment Weekly has released 4 new PPZ stills ahead of its Comic-Con cast and director appearances, where they'll premiere the first footage (maybe a teaser trailer too?) from the movie. According to Deadline ,  Screen Gems confirmed yesterday that it will debut the first footage from its horror-lit mashup  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   and action thriller  Patient Zero  at the Con. Its  July 11 panel  will feature  P&P&Z  cast including  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote , Douglas Booth , Jack Huston and Matt Smith along with director Burr Steers and the book’s author Seth Grahame-Smith .   The film's US Theater release date now has been moved up a week early from February 19th to   February 5th, 2016 ! The 2015 Comic-Con runs from July 9-12 at the San Diego Convention Center.
