Dolly Alderton , the screenwriter of the upcoming Netflix series,  Pride and Prejudice  (2026)  starring Emma Corrin as Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy has written an article in British Vogue detailing her diary inside the making of her lavish new P&P series for Netflix. The article features a photoshoot of the main cast of her Netflix series that will be premiering December 3 , globally and only on Netflix. I recently binge-watched  The Other Bennet Sister 's limited (10, 30-minute-long episodes) series on BritBox. I must say, I loved and enjoyed watching this little Pride and Prejudice spin-off show as told in Mary Bennet 's POV from the first episode to the last one. Ahead of its September 25, 2026 UK Cinema release date, the main cast of  Sense and Sensibility (2026) film (starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood ) were in attendance this week of the world premiere of their new Sense and Sensibility film adaptation at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London (England, UK) last Tuesday, September 15 and another S&S premiere in Ireland with S&S co-stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Catriona Balfe at The Stella Cinema Rathmines in Dublin, Ireland for the Irish premiere this Thursday, September 17, 2026 . A teaser trailer has just been released for  Rosamund Pike 's upcoming film, Wife and Dog  with Benedict Cumberbatch, James Norton, and Anthony Hopkins. Plus two Austen related actors, Pip Torrens (aka the Netherfield Butler from P&P 2005 movie) and Cosmo Jarvis (aka Captain Wentworth from Netflix's Persuasion 2022 movie). Directed by Guy Ritchie. Carey Mulligan   (looking stunningly gorgeous in a romantic white and royal blue dress that was reportedly from The Row's autumn/winter 2026 collection. The Row was founded in 2005 by the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley!)   attended the 78th annual prime time Emmy Awards in LA   last Monday night (September 14, 2026)   and she made her Emmy debut as a double nominee. Her recent Netflix's  Beef  ( Season 2 ) series received a total of  16 Primetime Emmy nominations  including two nods for Carey. She's nominated for  Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series  and for  Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series  (as one of the  executive producers  of the series’ season 2)! Unfortunately, Carey and her co-stars lost the acting nods they received and their series only won 3 Creative Emmys out of 16 nominations. Well, better win 3 Emmy awards than none, right? Netflix has announced today a December 3, 2026 premiere date for its upcoming six-part limited series adaptation of Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice starring Emma Corrin as Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy . Also, new promotional posters of Emma & Jack as Elizabeth & Darcy and first look images of the main cast have been released.  At Netflix's big UK Showcase event earlier last week, Netflix confirmed the release date for Season 2 of  Keira Knightley 's hit spy thriller series,  Black Doves .
