Last March, BBC News reported that Chatsworth House £32m restoration unveiled . Chatsworth House (one of the filming locations for Pride & Prejudice (2005) film and best known as Pemberley , Mr. Darcy 's grand estate in Derbyshire ) has reopened after its biggest restoration project in 200 years. The 10-year long programme, which cost about £32m ($41.6m), has seen "priceless" paintings restored, brickwork scrubbed and turrets rebuilt. Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues... Yesterday, I posted about Maia's Highclere Castle visit and a Downton Abbey Exhibition at Basildon Park (Part 2) and the day before, A Special Pride & Prejudice (2005) Exhibition at Basildon Park with Maia (Part 1) . As aforementioned, my friend Maia from Hungary, who just recently visited Basildon Park , one of P&P movie 's filming locations last August ( 11th ) as well as Downton Abbey 's (there was a Downton Abbey Exhibition at Basildon Park too). She also visited Highclere Castle ( August 12th ), the main house used as Downton Abbey and another P&P filming location, Wilton House ( August 13th ), which she is sharing here with us her experience in visiting the house. This month is the 10th anniversary of Pride & Prejudice movie's UK Cinema release ( September 16th, 2005 ) and we're celebrating all about the 2005 movie all month long here at the P&P Blog . To kick-off our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues, we'll start with a 3-part posts related to this movie. My friend Maia from Hungary, who just recently visited Basildon Park , one of P&P movie 's filming locations last August ( 11th-13th ) got to tour not just the house and garden, but she also got to see a special Pride & Prejudice (2005) exhibition . She, then, visited another P&P movie location , Wilton House , aka Pemberley 's interior  (in 2 scenes from the movie) and Downton Abbey 's main house and filming location, Highclere Castle . Chatsworth , one of the filming locations for Pride & Prejudice (2005) film and best known as Pemberley , Mr. Darcy 's grand estate in Derbyshire started their A Georgian Summer: Celebrating 200 Years of Pride and Prejudice late last month (from July 27th through August 29th, 2013 ). My friend Maia , who just visited Chatsworth the last week of July got to tour not just the house and garden, but also a special P&P (2005) exhibition (as it was filmed there almost 9 years ago) celebrating 200 years of Jane Austen 's classic Pride and Prejudice novel.
