Tonight is the premiere night for Hallmark Channel's Marrying Mr. Darcy  (starring  Ryan Paevey  as  Donovan Darcy ,  Cindy Busby  as  Elizabeth Scott , and   Frances Fisher  as  Violet Darcy ) , the sequel to the ratings success Unleashing Mr. Darcy (2016), which is also re-airing tonight at 7/6c just before MMD ! It's part of  Hallmark's June Weddings  season. Tammy Gillis (Jenna Scott), Lini Evans (Linda Scott), Yasmeene Ball (Zara Darcy), and Ryan Kennedy (Henry Robson) also star. More than two years ago, I had the pleasure of interviewing Teri Wilson , author of Unleashing Mr. Darcy , a modern Pride and Prejudice retelling and contemporary romance, turned into an original Hallmark movie of the same name. You can read my first Q&A with Teri Wilson here . Hallmark Channel now has a page for Marrying Mr. Darcy (starring  Ryan Paevey  as  Donovan Darcy ,  Cindy Busby  as  Elizabeth Scott , and   Frances Fisher  as  Violet Darcy ) , the upcoming sequel to Unleashing Mr. Darcy , which will premiere early next month, June 2nd at 9/8c ! Great news for fans of   Unleashing Mr. Darcy  (starring  Ryan Paevey  as  Donovan Darcy ,  Cindy Busby  as  Elizabeth Scott , and   Frances Fisher  as  Violet Darcy ), the sequel is officially a go and titled Marrying Mr. Darcy (with the same main cast returning)! Filming begins today (until April 19th) in Vancouver, with a premiere date of June 2nd , on   Hallmark Channel   (as part of either Summer Weddings or Summer nights...I’m thinking it’s the former). The first movie was a ratings hit for Hallmark over two years ago (January 23, 2016), which was part of their WinterFest season.

Great news for fans of Unleashing Mr. Darcy (starring Ryan Paevey as Donovan Darcy , Cindy Busby as Elizabeth Scott , and Frances Fisher as Violet Darcy ), the DVD is finally coming on May 2nd, 2017 (via It's A Wonderful Movie Blog ). So, Mark your calendars! It premiered this month last year ( January 23, 2016 ) on Hallmark Channel (as part of Winterfest 2016 ). No listing yet on Amazon for pre-order details, but I'll be sure to update this post as soon as it's does. Speaking of this movie, it just re-aired last Saturday (January 21st) and looks like it's going to be showing again on Hallmark Channel (as listed, but only one time though, on the movie's page next schedule airing here ) next month close to Valentine's Day! I had a lot of fun with my Q&A with Teri Wilson, author of Unleashing Mr. Darcy and now I had another pleasure of interviewing the lovely and beautiful  Cindy Busby (above photo credit: Alaina Michelle Photography | courtesy of Cindy Busby. Thank you!), the lead star of Unleashing Mr. Darcy . She portrayed the female lead character  Elizabeth Scott in the movie. You may or may not have seen Cindy before Unleashing Mr. Darcy , but she did previously co-starred in two prominent TV series, Cedar Cove (Hallmark) as Rebecca Jennings and Heartland (UP) as Ashley Stanton. After recently getting my audiobook copy (which I loved and enjoyed listening to) and seeing the movie (read my Unleashing Mr. Darcy Movie Review ) last Saturday, I had this idea and thought I'd do something different here, which is do a post-movie Q&A with Teri Wilson , author of Unleashing Mr. Darcy , a modern Pride and Prejudice retelling and contemporary romance, turned into an original Hallmark movie of the same name. I loved both her book and movie and I had so many questions I wanted to ask her about them. Though, at first, I wasn't sure if she'll agree to let me do an interview with her (since the movie already premiered last week). Three new upcoming TV movie and films , inspired of and related to Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice are going to be released on TV (Hallmark) and in US Theaters/UK Cinemas whether P&P/Austen fans like them or not. I'll say, a true P&P Fan will watch every adaptation, variations, or inspired of versions of Pride and Prejudice and be open-minded about it/them (or in this case, them...as 3 of them are going to be released this year) whether one likes them or not. For me, I watched them all (well, most of them. See all my Pride and Prejudice Reviews , minus these 3 new movies, for now...) as I love watching different versions or interpretations of my favorite P&P characters (especially Elizabeth & Darcy ) on screen (big or small). Also, with these new movies related to P&P, it keeps Austen 's P&P characters and novel alive. Another update here on Then & Now: The Many Faces of Mr. Darcy , to add two new actors playing Mr. Darcy   ( in the long list of actors who played Austen 's iconic and literary hero Mr. Darcy on either big or small screen since 1940) with Ryan Paevey as Donovan Darcy  in the new  Hallmark's WinterFest 2016  Movies  with a January 2016  premiere of  Unleashing Mr. Darcy  and Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy  in   the upcoming  February 2016 release ,  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies , a  parody adaptation/Zombie mash-up   of  Jane Austen 's classic   Pride and Prejudice   novel. I wouldn't have noticed there's a new movie with Mr. Darcy 's name as part of the movie's title, had I not been following and watching Hallmark channel's annual Countdown to Christmas movies a lot lately and, of course, my social media feed. The P&P fan in me instantly notices anything P&P/Austen and Darcy related things or mentions, lol. Yes, I'll admit, I love Hallmark and their typical romantic (with happy ending) movies (after all, P&P's timeless story probably inspired them all) and their feel-good original Christmas movies that I love watching (my guilty pleasure) and gets me into the Christmas holiday spirit and mood. I didn't see the title of this new movie on their promo preview until I saw the list of Hallmark movies in the WinterFest 2016  movies Schedule that will be airing in the New Year as part of Hallmark's WinterFest 2016 of new original movies for all of January 2016.
