“Marrying Mr. Darcy,” a new, original movie premiering Saturday, June 2 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel. Kicking off the network’s annual, June Weddings programming event, the film is a sequel to the 2016 original movie “Unleashing Mr. Darcy,” adapted from the novel by Teri Wilson.

Cindy Busby, Ryan Paevey and Frances Fisher reprise their characters from the first film, which was a modern spin on the Jane Austen classic “Pride and Prejudice.”

Blissfully in love and newly engaged to the handsome, wealthy Donovan Darcy, schoolteacher Elizabeth Scott looks forward to planning a small autumn ceremony with help of her mother, sister and fiancé. Given their different backgrounds, Elizabeth can’t help but ask herself: should she really marry Mr. Darcy?

“Marrying Mr. Darcy” is a Marrying Darcy Films Inc. Christian Bruyère is the producer. Steven R. Monroe directed from a teleplay by Teena Booth and James Iver Mattson & B.E. Brauner, based on the characters from the novel “Unleashing Mr. Darcy” by Teri Wilson.
