The long wait (for US fans) is over! Tonight  Downton Abbey   ( Penelope Wilton   co-star as   Isobel Crawley ) kicks off its sixth and final season  on PBS Masterpiece  at 9/8c . Episode 1 will be 90 minutes long and will be set in 1925, six months after the events of season 5. October is not only Matthew Macfadyen 's birth month (his birthday is next week, October 17th! ), but he has two new TV mini-series : The Enfield Haunting (with Episode 1 , which premiered last night) and The Last Kingdom airing all month long in both A&E and BBC America . Tonight, the upcoming   8-part drama series  The Last Kingdom premieres with Episode 1 at 10 PM ET/9c on BBC America. The Last Kingdom is an adaptation of  Bernard Cornwell ’s best-selling series of novels “The Saxon Stories” , by award-winning writer  Stephen Butchard , and will premiere this month ( October 10th ) on BBC AMERICA. Halloween comes a little early on TV tonight as The Enfield Hunting   starring  Timothy Spall  and Matthew Macfadyen with Juliet Stevens in a three-part series starting with Episode 1 ( The Awakening ) at 10 pm on A&E and will also show on the following two Fridays until the mini-series is completed. Matthew plays a character named  Guy Lyon Playfair , a skeptical but experienced investigator. The spooky drama first aired last Sunday,  May 3rd, 2015 in the UK's Sky Living . Tonight, Tamzin Merchant  co-stars with  Shane West  ( Nikita ) in the Season 2 premiere of WGN America 's original scripted period TV drama series  Salem , which premiered last April 20th  at 10/9c to a solid start in ratings (and according to Deadline:  WGN’s ‘Salem’ Debut Surges In Live+3 Results ) for WGN America. Salem 's Season One with 13 Episodes was last seen last July 2014 . Season 2 premieres tonight at 10 PM/9c. Tamzin Merchant  is back on TV! This time, she is co-starring with  Shane West  ( Nikita ) in  WGN America 's new original scripted period TV drama series  Salem , which premieres on Sunday,  April 20th  at 10/9c. Four new production stills featured Tamzin via the website of the series. Tamzin plays a  fearless girl, Anne Hale , who is a beautiful, talented artist with a perilous attraction to the newly arrived John Alden (West). A passing vision that makes the ladies envious and men fall in love; Anne is always testing boundaries – so much so that it deeply concerns the Puritans.  Since she is the daughter of the powerful Magistrate Hale, people expect her to behave in a certain way.  However, Anne is a rebel who doesn’t like to play by the town’s old rules. I was searching on YouTube for Episode 3 preview clip for  Death Comes to Pemberley  starring  Matthew Rhys   (as  Mr. Darcy ),   Anna Maxwell Martin   (as   Elizabeth Darcy ...née  Bennet ), and  Matthew Goode  (as  Mr. Wickham ), which I've found and you can  watch it here . What's unexpected was that someone was awesome enough to upload Episode 1  (with no commercials!) of DCTP , as I've been wanting to see it (since I don't live in the UK, I live in the US and don't see this mini-series until PBS Masterpiece will show it sometime on 2014), but looks like I don't have to wait too long to see it. I thought I'd embed Episode 1 here to share with those of you (like me) who don't live in  the UK, so we'll get to see it sooner rather than later, but make sure to see it as soon as you read this post, while it's still available and  viewable in YouTube (before it gets blocked! lol...).
