Before The Fall ~ A Re-imagining of Pride and Prejudice
There's a new film adaptation of Jane Austen 's classic Pride and Prejudice that is quite different and an interesting take from the many P&P adaptations that were released and came before it. This one is an independent film that made a few film festival rounds late last year. The film is called Before The Fall , a modern re-imagining of Austen's P&P. The description of the movie is quite interesting with same sex protagonists in Ben Bennet (instead of Miss Elizabeth Bennet ) and a poor Lee Darcy . It's basically a gay romance contemporary film, but it still featured a straight supporting couple in Jane & Bingley . According to its official facebook page , Before The Fall written and directed by Byrum Geisler and starring Ethan Sharrett , Chase Conner , Brandi Price , and Jason Mac will be released online (via google play, Amazon, iTunes, and Vudu) worldwide in May ( 2017 ).
