Speaking of Jack Ryan, according to Box Office Mojo, it opened soft in its opening weekend Domestic Box-Office here in the U.S. at #4 with an estimated $18 Million (with a reported $60 Million production budget), but it did much better internationally in its foreign Box-Office weekend debut. Coinciding with its domestic debut, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit opened to $22.2 million from 29 foreign markets. According to Paramount, it was about on par with Jack Reacher (starring Tom Cruise & Rosamund Pike), which wound up earning $138 million. Its top market was China, where it earned a solid $9.5 million. It also took first place in Russia with $2 million, which is somewhat disappointing considering how much of the movie is set in Moscow. Other major markets included Australia ($2 million), South Korea ($1.8 million) and Mexico ($1.2 million). It expands in to the U.K. and a few smaller markets next weekend.
