On DVD & Blu-Ray Today: Gone Girl
Available now on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD is box office mega hit and 4-time Golden Globe nominated, and People's Choice Award winner (Favorite Thriller Movie) film Gone Girl starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike. The film is still showing in theaters even though it's been released to DVD and Blu-ray. It opened last October 3, 2014 to an impressive #1 opening weekend debut with BO gross of $37.5 million with a reported $61 million production budget/marketing. As of January 11, 2015, its US domestic gross is now $167.1 million (on its 101 days/14.4 weeks of release), its foreign gross $198.2 million, and an amazing worldwide total of $365.3 million (and counting...for a thriller film), according to Box Office Mojo. The press release cites that the following are 'Blu-ray extras,' then mentions nothing about DVD extras, so I don't actually know if the DVD will be barebones or not:
