Happy New Year's Eve! This is this blog's  296th and last post for 2015 . As I wait (one more hour here, ET in my time zone!) to welcome the new year, I thought I'd post here 16 things I look forward to seeing and hope to happen (and more) in the coming New Year , 2016 ! In random order...

I have been waiting for Joe Wright 's Pride & Prejudice (starring Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen ) 2005 film be added to Netflix for a very long time (I've even tweeted Netflix about it once, ahaha!) and finally, the recent news for What’s Coming to Netflix in January 2016 (via Collider) and that made me happy like Mrs. Bennet saying, "oh, happy day!" in the movie. So, yes, for those of us, who has been searching and waiting for Netflix to add this movie in like forever on their new releases list, P&P movie is finally going to be added on their stream list of new movies  arriving on the first day of January 2016 (New Year's Day)! Woohooo!!! See what else is coming Netflix in January: Here's what's new (via USA Today). Speaking of P&P (2005) movie , Oxygen will be showing it again, twice on January 6th starting at 6:30 pm ET and 10:30 pm ET. I missed the Christmas Eve back-to-back airing, but I'm glad it's airing...

Okay, I'm very late in posting this movie review here, but better late than never, right? I saw The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 ( Donald Sutherland   as President Snow  and  Jena Malone   as  Johanna Mason  co-star) on its opening weekend debut on the Saturday of Jena Malone 's birthday ( November 21st )  and I just posted my full Film Review: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 in my other blog, In The Mood For Movies , where I post my general movie reviews (of the movies I've seen in theaters). And one more update here, this time on The Many Faces of Elizabeth Bennet & Fitzwilliam Darcy   with two new upcoming re-telling and Zombie mash-up movies of Jane Austen 's classic Pride and Prejudice novel, the upcoming Hallmark Channel's Unleashing Mr. Darcy starring Ryan Paevey as Donovan Darcy , Cindy Busby as Elizabeth Scott premiering on Hallmark on January 23rd, 2016 and Seth Grahame-Smith 's  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   film  starring  Lily James & Sam Riley in US Theaters February 5th, 2016 .

Another update here on Then & Now: The Many Faces of Mr. Darcy , to add two new actors playing Mr. Darcy   ( in the long list of actors who played Austen 's iconic and literary hero Mr. Darcy on either big or small screen since 1940) with Ryan Paevey as Donovan Darcy  in the new  Hallmark's WinterFest 2016  Movies  with a January 2016  premiere of  Unleashing Mr. Darcy  and Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy  in   the upcoming  February 2016 release ,  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies , a  parody adaptation/Zombie mash-up   of  Jane Austen 's classic   Pride and Prejudice   novel. One of Hallmark Channel 's 4  new Winterfest 2016 movies that will be airing Saturday, on the 23rd of January 2016 (next month!) is a new TV movie adaptation of Teri Wilson 's novel, a modern  Pride and Prejudice retelling and contemporary romance titled Unleashing Mr. Darcy (I previously posted about it here ). The page for the movie on Hallmark's website has been updated with a preview trailer some new images stills  and  cast promotional photos from the movie as well as Hallmark's Crown Media Presss website with more images and the promotional poster above ^! This holiday season marks the 10th anniversary when Joe Wright’s Pride & Prejudice (2005) made its way across the pond becoming a sensation. Matthew Macfadyen’s portrayal either revived old feelings or gave an introduction to millions of fans stateside why Mr. Darcy is the ultimate romantic hero. No other male figure in literature can compete with his enduring appeal with so many generations of women.  Mr. Darcy’s fandom is so vast and fierce that he is the inspiration for spin-offs, adaptations, fan fiction, collectibles, and even games. His popularity spans the far reaches of the internet, from discussion forums to a manifold presence on every social media outlet in existence. Let’s face it, there’s just something about him. Jane Austen birthed this character over 200 years ago and he is still that dude!   A day ago Miss Austen would have turned 240, Happy Freaking Birthday Jane!!! So let’s get this party started by examining one of her most beloved creations! ...

Happy 240th Birthday to the lovely, genius and way ahead of her time, beloved English novelist, the one and only, JANE AUSTEN ! Worth re-posting every year (and slightly edited and updated) for your FYI... Remembering and celebrating her birthday today, Jane Austen , the woman who wrote the original Pride and Prejudice novel (which had been made into several TV and Film adaptations including the 2005 film, Pride & Prejudice ), which was her first (can you believe unsuccessful ?!) submission to a publisher back in 1797 ( 217  years ago) titled "First Impressions" (later changed to "Pride and Prejudice" ). She revised " First Impressions " and published it entitled " Pride and Prejudice " in 1813 ( 202  years ago, 11 months ago this year!).

Two months from now, Seth Grahame-Smith 's  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   film  starring  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote ,  Douglas Booth ,  Jack Huston  and  Matt Smith will be released in U.S. Theaters ( February 5th ) and in UK Cinemas ( February 11th ). Lionsgate UK, the UK distributor for PPZ movie , has released several P&P character posters (similar to The Hunger Games movies' character posters approach, where they released 2 posters at a specific UK movies' related websites/blogs at a time...after all, Lionsgate was the same distributor for all THG films), a total of 8 (thus far). They released 2 posters at a time to the following websites: Radio Times , Digital Spy , Metro.co.UK , and IMPawards . 

The 10th - time Emmy Award and 5-time Golden Globe winning drama series Homeland starring Claire Danes , Mandy Patinkin , and Rupert Friend , which currently in its Season 5 (and premiered last October 4th on Showtime ) has been renewed today by Showtime for Season 6 according to Deadline Hollywood . Rupert joined the series back in Season 2 ( Episode 4 ) playing agent Peter Quinn , which he scored an Emmy Award nomination  for Outstanding Guest Actor .

I wouldn't have noticed there's a new movie with Mr. Darcy 's name as part of the movie's title, had I not been following and watching Hallmark channel's annual Countdown to Christmas movies a lot lately and, of course, my social media feed. The P&P fan in me instantly notices anything P&P/Austen and Darcy related things or mentions, lol. Yes, I'll admit, I love Hallmark and their typical romantic (with happy ending) movies (after all, P&P's timeless story probably inspired them all) and their feel-good original Christmas movies that I love watching (my guilty pleasure) and gets me into the Christmas holiday spirit and mood. I didn't see the title of this new movie on their promo preview until I saw the list of Hallmark movies in the WinterFest 2016  movies Schedule that will be airing in the New Year as part of Hallmark's WinterFest 2016 of new original movies for all of January 2016.

New Churchill's Secret stills of Matthew Macfadyen (via FarFarAwaySite ) as Randolph Churchill , one of Churchill ’s adult children that include Daisy Lewis (Downton Abbey) as Mary Churchill, Rachael Stirling (The Bletchley Circle, Detectorists) as Sarah Churchill and Tara Fitzgerald (Game of Thrones, In the Club) as Diana Churchill in the upcoming ITV/PBS Drama slated for 2016.  See larger stills of MM as Randolph from Churchill's Secret below...

A new international trailer was recently released for the upcoming Seth Grahame-Smith 's  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies   film  starring  Lily James ,  Sam Riley ,  Bella Heathcote ,  Douglas Booth ,  Jack Huston  and  Matt Smith . The new trailer is basically the same, an extended version o f the US trailer with a few new footage that's slightly spoilerish (or not if you already know the story of P&P). There's a new poster featuring Elizabeth & Darcy and the rest of the main/supporting  characters as well as new Funko Pop! Vinyl figures of PPZ Movie characters including Darcy & Elizabeth. ITV has released a new  Text Santa  -  Downton Abbey   sneak peek sketch video featuring  Penelope Wilton 's Isobel Crawley with Hugh Bonneville 's Lord Grantham searching for the right Father Christmas (aka Santa Claus) with  Brenda Blethyn ' s Vera showing up for the audition and Brendan Coyle 's Mr. Bates popping up out of nowhere, lol...The P&P fan in me can't help thinking this was another awesome P&P/DA connection , Mrs. Bennet (P&P 2005) reunited with her sister-in-law Mrs. Gardiner ( P&P 2005 ) who was sitting next to a different Mr. Bennet ( Lost In Austen 's own Mr. B !). I'd love for Keira & Matthew to make a cameo as Elizabeth & Darcy as a P&P 10th Anniversary reunion special or homage for the P&P movie fans. If only this idea is possible... Currently filming one of her many upcoming films for 2016,  Rosamund Pike   was spotted filming a proposal scene with her Jack Reacher co-star David Oyelowo in their new film, A United Kingdom directed by Amma Assante ( Belle ). The film is slated for a 2016 release. Jack Davenport (Norrington of POTC movies), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter movies and most recently in Belle directed by Assante), and Laura Carmichael (aka Lady Edith Crawley in Downton Abbey ) also star. Previously, we heard  Matthew Macfadyen , Mr. Darcy himself, read the first proposal scene of Jane Austen 's beloved classic Pride and Prejudice novel . It would've been amazing if he had read the entire book. Also, it would been awesome if he and  Keira Knightley   would read P&P audio book together as I already pictured them as Darcy & Elizabeth whenever I re-read the novel. But since, neither one are reading it anytime soon (perhaps someday, who knows? MM , at least has read a passage of it), I just read this newsbit on  Boston Globe's article  that their former P&P co-star ,  Rosamund Pike   aka Jane Bennet , the eldest Bennet sister will be reading P&P novel 's new audiobook version to be released Next month, December 8th ! After not being on TV all of last month (of October), Joe Wright 's 2005 Pride & Prejudice movie starring Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen was back on TV last Friday. It was shown on Oxygen channel twice and back-to-back last Friday night with broadcast times of 8:20 pm and 11:25 pm .

Today ( November 21st ), marks the 31st birthday of Jena Malone (aka Pride & Prejudice 2005 's own Lydia Bennet ). Jena was born on November 21, 1984 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA. New Mom Carey Mulligan recently attended several public events since giving birth (reportedly sometime in September) to her first child, baby Evelyn Mumford (with her musician husband Marcus Mumford ...see a few photos of them below). This past week, she was at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 7th annual Governors Awards at The Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center on November 14, 2015 in Hollywood, California. A few days before, she attended the BAFTA LA Behind Closed Doors at ArcLight Cinemas on November 11, 2015 in Hollywood, California. Also, Carey accepted the Hollywood Actress Award for her current film “Suffragette” during the 19th Annual Hollywood Film Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on November 1, 2015 in Beverly Hills, California. Our  P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary  event  here continues  on its US  anniversary  day today... Ten days ago (November 1st), I posted here asking you or rather my fellow P&P Fans to Confessed their Pride & Prejudice (2005) movie Addiction Stories , which I've gotten some wonderful responses/comments especially on Facebook . I've collected and compiled here at least a dozen P&P addiction stories worth reading for. THANK YOU to everyone who posted their stories and submitting them on FB, Twitter, and via email. I loved and enjoyed reading your interesting stories. I hope to receive more, for next time! Finally, a trailer in English (I can now understand what they're saying) has been uploaded (via TM International ) and released for Matthew Macfadyen 's upcoming The Trapp Family: A Life of Music film starring Eliza Bennnet , Matthew Macfadyen , and Yvonne Catterfeld , which will be released in Cinemas in Germany this week, November 12th ! No theatrical release date for the US and other countries has been reported yet, other than coming soon, Winter 2015. Ten years ago ( November 10th, 2005 ) today, the only U.S. premiere for Pride & Prejudice (2005) film , was held in  New York City . P&P stars Keira Knightley , Matthew Macfadyen (with wife Keeley Hawes ), Donald Sutherland , Brenda Blethyn , Tom Hollander ,  Simon Woods , and Rosamund Pike , with director Joe Wright were in attendance at the NY premiere. Some of the P&P cast ( Keira Knightley , Matthew Macfadyen , Rosamund Pike ,   Brenda Blethyn , Donald Sutherland , Tom Hollander , and Simon Woods ) and P&P director Joe Wright flew here in the U.S. to attend the Pride & Prejudice - New York City Premiere ( November 10 ). Jena Malone and Donald Sutherland both attended the world premiere of their upcoming film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 ( Donald Sutherland   as President Snow  and  Jena Malone   as  Johanna Mason  co-star) at CineStar on November 4, 2015 in Berlin , Germany. Another Mockingjay - Part 2 premiere was held the next day at the Odeon Leicester Square on November 5, 2015 in London, England. The main cast attended including Donald , but sans Jena . She was not seen in the cast photos in the UK premiere nor she posted a photo of herself on her IG, just the Berlin premiere. It's been a while, like 10 months ago, since I last posted here about a  P&P reference or P&P/Darcy/Elizabeth mentioned   in P&P inspired  books or other non- P&P   books , in  movies , TV shows ,  magazines ,  reviews , or  celebrities  mentioning  Pride and Prejudice   / Jane Austen . I thought I'd update and post here a more recent P&P References , from the most popular  Jane Austen novel , the 1995   mini-series ,  P&P (2005) movie  or any of the  P&P characters  (ie.  Elizabeth & Darcy ) that were  referenced a lot in books, magazines, movies, TV shows, reviews, etc... It is a truth universally acknowledged that global fans of Pride & Prejudice ( 2005 ) movie love, love, love watching it whenever it's showing on TV (even though they own the DVD, Blu-Ray, Amazon or iTunes copies) and never get tired of watching it. There's just something magical about it that never gets old for devoted fans of this movie, like myself, who just can't get enough of this movie. I've been watching and talking (ie. 16 Beautiful Things I love about the 2005 Pride & Prejudice film , The Magic Feeling of Watching Pride & Prejudice 2005 film ,  In Retrospect: 10 Years of Joe Wright's Pride & Prejudice and 10 reasons why I still love watching it more and more!   etc.) about it for a decade now and still love and never tire of this movie. Earlier this month, October 1st , Keira Knightley  started (with early previews) her Broadway debut in New York City starring in the title role Thérèse Raquin . Lionsgate just released the first TV Spot titled  Epic Finale for  The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 ( Donald Sutherland   as President Snow  and  Jena Malone   as  Johanna Mason  co-star)   for director Francis Lawrence 's final installment of the THG franchise . The new TV spot was shown during a baseball World Series Game the other day.
