Today ( August 25th ), is Pride & Prejudice 's own brilliant director Joe Wright 's (photo by Focus Features from P&P’s 20th Anniversary screening in LA in April 2025) 54th Birthday ! I found out several years ago that his birthday's today and he shares the same birthday as Tom Hollander ! They've worked together 3 times in 3 ( Pride & Prejudice , The Soloist , and Hanna ) of his 5 feature films .

On this day,  September 19th,  (exactly  20 years  ago today), Decca Records released in the UK the  original music and soundtrack  from  Joe Wright 's  Pride & Prejudice  (2005) film starring  Keira Knightley  and  Matthew Macfadyen . The original music from the soundtrack was composed by  Academy Award *  Winner   Dario Marianelli  (* Atonement ,  Anna Karenina ) and was performed on the piano by pianist  Jean-Yves Thibaudet  with  Th e English Chamber Orchestra . In  the US, the P&P  soundtrack  was released,  November 15, 2005  by Decca Records. The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, CA is holding a few screenings of  Pride & Prejudice  (starring  Keira Knightley  &  Matthew Macfadyen ) film as part of their Screening from Series The Cinematic Worlds of Sarah Greenwood and Katie Spencer (from September 3-November 28, 2025) starting tomorrow, September 3 (Wednesday), September 5 (Friday), and September 8, 2025 (Monday).

My  P&P (2005) movie's 20th Year Anniversary  celebratory posts continues... I previously posted here about the  main cast  and  supporting cast  of  Pride & Prejudice  (2005) whose careers soared and have continued to be busy after their  P&P (2005) film . Pride & Prejudice  slightly made more with a final weekend BO gross at $2.8 million ($2.801,275 M) from $2.7 million (Sunday estimates). It remains at the top 10 at #8 ! Here’s its Daily (3-day) gross :
