Elizabeth Darcy and Black Friday Sales by Barbara Tiller Cole (+ Win a giveaway!)

Friday begins the shopping rush for the upcoming Holiday Season. While I am not a huge fan of Day after Thanksgiving sales (now called Black Friday since 2005), I know many of my friends anticipate them all year long. While contemplating that today I was quite shocked and extremely excited when Elizabeth Darcy, from my story Fitzwilliam Ebenezer Darcy, stopped by to talk with me.  I will not question how she managed to transport herself to my humble abode (after all I wrote a story about ghostly visitations), but she did want to speak to me about this particular Holiday custom.  I recorded our conversation and will transcribe it for your entertainment.
EDarcy:  Miss Cole, or should I say Lady Cole?
BTCole: Ms. Cole, but I would be happy if you would wish to call me Barbara, Mrs. Darcy.
EDarcy: I would be honored, Barbara.  Please call me, Elizabeth.
BTCole: Thank you, Elizabeth. I understand you have some questions to ask me about the twenty-first century Holiday custom of Black Friday…

Happy Thanksgiving!

To all the American P&P Fans, readers, and visitors of this blog who celebrate Thanksgiving aka Turkey Day (the traditional U.S. Holiday) today, just want to wish you all a very...

Other P&P Actors: Must-See TV & Films 2011/2012

You might not remember the names of these other supporting Pride & Prejudice actors, but you probably remember their faces when you see them on-screen or keep thinking to yourself, he or she looks familiar, where have I seen him/her before? Of course, if you're really curious, you will google or check out IMDB for the cast credits to see which movie you've seen them before. I've done that a lot when I see a movie (old or new) and often found a lot of these other P&P actors (even the main supporting P&P actors have been seen in other films that I didn't recognize or remember seeing them until I checked their IMDB filmography). These other P&P actors have done more TV and film work post-P&P and a few of them have appeared in some very recognizable and well-known films recently. I've compiled and listed them below. You'll be surprised to know that they've also appeared in some films the main P&P actors have appeared as well. Recent fil…

Just For Fun: Elizabeth & Darcy Wedding Manips

First of all, the 2005Pride & Prejudice film was already beautiful and amazing as it was (with the American "Mrs. Darcy" ending scene on it), but there's always at least one thing lacking or missing on it that I think would've made this film even more amazing and perfect. A wedding scene for Elizabeth & Darcy or for both Lizzie & Darcy and Jane & Bingley (either shown as a double or separate wedding scenes). Makes me wonder if they ever filmed a deleted "wedding" scene...perhaps they did...or perhaps they did not. Who knows? Except for Keira & Matthew and especially Joe Wright and his editor, right? But then again, they probably did not film it at all. Still, I couldn't help, but wonder if they had deleted and extended scenes for this movie (which were never released or included on the DVD and Blu-ray discs that have been released in the past...or maybe they were saving it for a special director's cut edition for future P&P …

Film Reviews: Johnny English Reborn and The Big Year

I saw Johnny English Reborn and The Big Yearrecently and both had Rosamund Pike co-starring in supporting roles as Kate Sumner, a Behavioral Psychologist  (in Johnny English Reborn) and Jessica, a housewife (in The Big Year).

RosamundPike had 4 films (interestingly, I've seen all 4 of them!)released in theaters this year including these two. The other two were indie films: Barney's Version, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Make-Up and won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in Comedy/Musical for Paul Giamatti, while Rosamund earn critical rave reviews for her supporting role as the title character's third wife and true love Miriam Grant Panofsky. I've seen this movie (and own it on Blu-ray/DVD) and loved it. Rosamund was brilliant in this film. Great movie! The other film was Burning Palms (with a big ensemble cast and told in 5 different stories that will mess you up for life...or so it says...according to the film's tagline), which was in brief and limi…

So far, these are casting rumors (until they are confirmed), we'll find out soon enough if she gets cast in one or both films. For now, check out the following casting news from Collider and The Playlist below...
