"Any Human Heart" starring Matthew Macfadyen to premiere on PBS' Masterpiece Classic February 2011

Each winter and spring, Masterpiece classic features signature period dramas. Masterpiece, the longest-running most honored drama series on primetime television, celebrates the start of its 40th season with a quintessential Masterpiece production, an updated version of an iconic classic and more. Laura Linney hosts.

Congrats to PBS Masterpiece on their 40th season! I love watching their period dramas especially when P&P 05 actors and their period films are featured and showing on PBS as well as any Jane Austen movies/miniseries, Elizabeth Gaskill, and Dickens related.

One of those dramas I highly anticipate and can't wait to see in the 2011 season schedule will be Any Human Heart, which stars our very own Matthew Macfadyen (Mr. Darcy) and Tom Hollander (Mr. Collins), former P&P co-stars in their 4th TV and film projects (Any Human Heart, Pride & Prejudice, Enigma, Maybe Baby) they appeared and co-starred together.

Here's the schedule for Any Human Heart on Masterp…

Movie News & Rumors: Keira Knightley and Joe Wright to re-team for 'Anna Karenina'?

According to The Playlist, Keira Knightley & Joe Wright May Reteam On New Tom Stoppard-Penned Version Of ‘Anna Karenina’
But today brings news that another version is in the work, from a fairly prestigious team. Baz Bamigboye reports that Working Title has been developing a new adaptation, written by the great playwright Sir Tom Stoppard, and that a script’s due before Christmas. The studio’s favorite son, Joe Wright (”Pride & Prejudice,” “Atonement”) is attached to the new version, and in the spring, the director’s likely to make a decision as to whether to direct this, or the dark Abi Morgan-scripted take on “The Little Mermaid” announced earlier in the year.

But according to Working Title head honcho Tim Bevan, this one’s looking like the front-runner, telling Bamigboye that “I’m not saying I’ve made up my mind, but there’s something about Anna Karenina, Tom Stoppard and Joe Wright that sounds right.” Furthermore, and it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to anyone, con…

PPZ Update: Mike White to helm 'Pride And Prejudice And Zombies'

Looks likePride and Prejudice and Zombies film is still alive after all, though is no longer attached to star as the lead character Elizabeth Bennet, she's still producing this film and a new director has just been announced. Movie Casting News: Carey Mulligan cast as Daisy Buchanan for new "The Great Gatsby' film

Baz Luhrmann has chosen Carey Mulligan (photo by Baz Luhrmann) to play Daisy in his adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 classic, The Great Gatsby. Deadline has the following exclusive news and picture of Carey from Luhrmann himself that he took of Carey during her audition at a workshop rehearsals early November.
Mulligan was on the reception line for The Fashion Council Awards in New York when she got the call on her cell phone from Luhrmann, just a few minutes ago. She burst into tears on the red carpet in front of Karl Lagerfield and Anna Wintour. This all occurred shortly after Luhrmann showed the audition footage to Sony Pictures Entertainment execs Amy Pascal and Doug Belgrad, who were impressed by Mulligan's command of the character played in the 1974 film by Mia Farrow.

Mulligan was a late entrant to an elite list of actresses that Luhrmann met with while he conducted readings with Leonardo DiCaprio, who'll play Jay Gatsby. Tobey Maguire is expected to p…
