Casting News: Carey Mulligan in talks to star in 'Stoker'?

24 Frames reports that Carey Mulligan is in talks to star along with Jodie Foster in a new film, "Stoker," written by Prison Break and Resident Evil: Afterlife actor Wentworth Miller.
The company of "Juno" and "Little Miss Sunshine" is developing a new movie titled "Stoker," with Mulligan in talks to star. The kicker? The project is written by "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller.

"Stoker" tells of an eccentric teenager whose enigmatic and estranged uncle returns to the family after the death of the girl's father. And the company is adding some more boldfaced names from across the pond: Ridley and Tony Scott's Scott Free Productions is in talks to produce. Searchlight is also in talks with Jodie Foster to costar with Mulligan.

Watch Claudie Blakley in "Lark Rise to Candleford" series (Seasons 1-3)

Why haven't I seen Lark Rise to Candleford till now? I love period dramas (most of my favorite drama in TV and films are period ones such as P&P, North & South, Wives and Daughters, Little Dorrit, and Love In a Cold Climate to name some) and this is one of those really good period drama/TV serial that I rarely noticed or heard about, but when I surprises me how it was really good. I can't believe I haven't noticed this series till recently. There can be only 3 reasons why I just discovered this series (better late than never, hehe)... a) It wasn't aired here in the U.S. when it premiered...if it was, I would've heard of it. b) It wasn't shown on PBS' Masterpiece Theatre or Masterpiece Mystery! that was why I've never heard of this. And c) not only that it was a BBC production, but it also aired on UK's BBC1 know what that means, I don't live in the UK and we don't have BBC1 channel here in the U.S. (except…

Pride & Prejudice Deleted Scenes?

A few things I wished the P&P DVD would've included in the special features department were: Deleted or Extended Scenes, Outtakes, and Matthew Macfadyen audition/reading withKeira Knightley. Also, a Commentary with Keira & Matthew would be cool too as well as Cast Dance Rehearsal clips...though we've seen a few of them included in the behind the scenes clips on the HBO First Look and A Bennet Family Portrait featurettes....and these awesome P&P '05 Diaries (Video Clips links) (I think the UK/International DVD included these documentary or was shown on TV for P&P Promo...but I'm not quite sure...)as lots of clips there in those behind the scenes showed some potential deleted scenes.
Speaking of deleted scenes...almost two years ago, I posted here about these possibleP&P 05: Deleted Scenes Photos and always wondered if there are more (there were clips of them on theP&P '05 Diaries)...The 2005 Pride & Prejudice film will be 5 years in …
