Season 5 of ITV'shit detective dramaVera starring Brenda Blethyn as DCI Vera Stanhope (Vera S5 still via ITV) just aired its Season 5 finale last night. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Season 5. I haven't been following the series as I haven't seen it in a while nor seen Seasons 3 and 4 as it's not showing here in the US (Wish PBS was showing it on Masterpiece Mystery...). I've seen the first two seasons on Netflix a long time ago, and that's about all. The series seemed to have disappeared on Netflix. It's not listed there anymore. Loved and enjoyed watching Brenda Blethyn on those first two season of Vera though. Season 5 premiered in U.K. TVs ITV channel last Sunday April 5th. Seasons one through three are currently available on All four seasons are available on Instant and Acorn TV.

Looks like Season 6 (or Series 6 as the Brits call it) is a go on ITV for Vera. So fans of this series will have another season to look forward to.

Watch: Claudie Blakley guest stars on Call The Midwife's Season 4 - Episode 4 on PBS!

Last night I did not expect to watch a random new episode of Call The Midwife's current Season 4 on PBS. I was just searching for a show to watch on TV and as I was browsing the various channels, I stumbled upon Call The Midwife. While I've heard of this series and I've seen an episode or two of the first season, it just wasn't my cup of tea. So, I never keep up with the show. My JAFF (Jane Austen Fan Fiction) Addiction

bySaucy Salad My name is Natasha…and I’m a Jane Austen Fan Fiction addict!!!  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this kind of fandom, I’ll provide a brief description. JAFF is a sub-genre inspired by the original narratives of Jane Austen's (1775-1817) beloved novels.  JAFF novels run the gamut of numerous sub-categories. The varieties are classified according to the story’s main theme, which include: prequels, sequels, re-tellings, variations, continuations, mash-ups, paranormal, bio-fics, mysteries, anthologies, young adult, and moderns.  It is because Jane Austen left her characters' lives to continue in our imaginations that we want them to.  Each new imagining is just that, a conception of what those lives might be as envisioned by other writers.  The timelessness of Austen’s work is a marvelous thing.  Of course, Jane Austen’s writing is unparalleled, but these explorations are nonetheless compelling.

Happy Easter!
