I previously posted last March about a  Pride & Prejudice  (2005) -  20th Anniversary Cinema Re-Release screenings at Chatsworth House (aka Pemberley , Mr. Darcy 's estate in P&P movie ) this month of June ( 13 & 14 ) and the two screenings for P&P movie were both SOLD OUT !  Also, Chatsworth is celebrating Jane Austen's 250th Birthday  with Regency themed entertainment including a  Pride & Prejudice screenings   in celebration of the film's 20th anniversary and Chatsworth House being immortalized as Pemberley in the film  and a Summer Pride & Prejudice Ball .  Read more info. about the following Austen 250 events at Chatsworth  and more P&P 20th Anniversary Cinema Screenings in the UK below...

Last March, BBC News reported that Chatsworth House £32m restoration unveiled . Chatsworth House (one of the filming locations for Pride & Prejudice (2005) film and best known as Pemberley , Mr. Darcy 's grand estate in Derbyshire ) has reopened after its biggest restoration project in 200 years. The 10-year long programme, which cost about £32m ($41.6m), has seen "priceless" paintings restored, brickwork scrubbed and turrets rebuilt. Well, not exactly the actual Darcy bust , which we've all seen in Pride & Prejudice ( 2005 ) movie, but according to Darcylicious , a scaled versions of the famous Mr. Darcy bust that was shown in the 2005 movie Pride & Prejudice are now on sale at the Chatsworth Gift Shop . This will make a great birthday or Christmas present! I most definitely would love to get one of this for my own to add to my P&P movie collection ...hopefully, soon! There is no online version of the Chatsworth gift shop from which you can order the bust, but you can order it online thru the following shop: Marble Sculpture LEAVE A MESSAGE IN THE CONTACT FORM   The bust is a scaled down version of the original and cost £50 (plus shipping if you are not purchasing at the Chatsworth Gift Shop). Chatsworth , one of the filming locations for Pride & Prejudice (2005) film and best known as Pemberley , Mr. Darcy 's grand estate in Derbyshire started their A Georgian Summer: Celebrating 200 Years of Pride and Prejudice late last month (from July 27th through August 29th, 2013 ). My friend Maia , who just visited Chatsworth the last week of July got to tour not just the house and garden, but also a special P&P (2005) exhibition (as it was filmed there almost 9 years ago) celebrating 200 years of Jane Austen 's classic Pride and Prejudice novel. Another wonderful P&P fan story from Maia (from Hungary ), who kindly and previously shared here, her Keira Knightley Signed Autograph Photo! and Rosamund Pike Autographed Photos last year. Last week BBC One's Death Comes to Pemberley starring Matthew Rhys , Anna Maxwell Martin , Matthew Goode was Filming at Chatsworth . Filming took place in the house and garden between July 14th-19th , for a three-part BBC drama. BBC News has posted a behind the scenes video from the set of the film, which includes a short interview of Matthew Rhys (see a screen cap of him above ^ in a first look of him in Darcy character) on set at Chatsworth and in Darcy costume. 'Pride & Prejudice Country' Pride & Prejudice (2005) film stars Keira Knightley , Matthew Macfadyen , Brenda Blethyn , Donald Sutherland , Tom Hollander , Rosamund Pike , Jena Malone , and Judi Dench . Travel to destinations featured in Pride & Prejudice Movies are often an inspiration for travelers, especially when the location is as beautiful as the English countryside. The fact that the East Midlands region of England was used extensively for location filming for Pride and Prejudice is especially fitting given that Jane Austen drew on the Derbyshire landscape for some of her most descriptive passages in the novel. Austen's descriptions of the county refer to there being "no finer county in England than Derbyshire", and feature "all the celebrated beauties of Matlock, Chatsworth, Dovedale, and the Peak". A last post for 2010, as we're about to say goodbye to the past year, and ring in the New Year 2011 (the year of the rabbit!) in just seven hours (eastern time) from now. As I previously posted and blogged here in  part 1 , I shared some photos and my wonderful experience from my recent holiday and visit to the beautiful countryside of England ( Derbyshire , Yorkshire , and Lincolnshire ) and the lovely Scotland , UK .
