Pride & Prejudice (2005) FAN Blog

Later this year, in the Fall of 2015, Pride & Prejudice  (2005) film will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary of its theatrical release ( September in the UK and November in the US). One of the movie's extras , Daniel Brookes (who met most of the main cast on P&P movie set) has shared here his filming experience as one of the Militia men and his meeting Keira Knightley again in one of her movie premieres in London earlier last year. He was also an extra at another P&P related adaptation, the recently BBC and Masterpiece Mystery aired,  Death Comes to Pemberley .  He is sharing here his filming experience for that one as well, which will be posted here in a part 2 post very soon or sometime later this week. For now, read Daniel 's wonderful filming experience as an Extra in P&P movie with some on set and BTS photos and more below...

My last (but most certainly not least) post of 2013 ... A  P&P fan encounter  from an ardent   Pride & Prejudice / Matthew Macfadyen  fan, the lovely and wonderful  May   (from Scotland)   had a great pleasure in meeting  Matthew   Macfadyen  up close and in person   not once, but three times! She met him in his current stage play   Jeeves and Wooster , which had gotten rave reviews and is on demand (that it will be extended for more shows until September 2014 , but Matthew will only continue until April 2014 ). Read May 's M&G with Matthew Macfadyen and Jeeves and Wooster Review  and candid photos of MM from outside the stage door below...

A P&P fan encounter from another ardent Pride & Prejudice / Matthew Macfadyen fan, the lovely and wonderful Emilia Ravenna (from Italy) had a great pleasure in meeting Matthew Macfadyen up close and in person when he attended the Ripper Street - Roma Fiction Fest (in Rome, Italy) last October 2012 . Here's an account of Emilia 's M&G experience (she's sharing here) of meeting MM ...   RIPPER STREET - ROMA FICTION FEST 1 OCTOBER 2012 All this started thanks to my curiosity. First of all, all we knew for some time that Matthew was working/starring on BBC's Ripper Street and had already finished, but not only we knew also and we have been following his wonderful premiere in London for Anna Karenina and for this and for this reason he and the team (cast and crew) were present at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Another wonderful P&P fan story from Maia (from Hungary ), who kindly and previously shared here, her Keira Knightley Signed Autograph Photo! and Rosamund Pike Autographed Photos last year. This time she wrote a fan mail to the lovely Carey Mulligan , which she got a reply just recently. Last July 2012 , I wrote the lovely and beautiful  Rosamund Pike   (my favorite Jane Bennet )   a fan letter , which was several months after I wrote Matthew Macfadyen   and sent him a fan mail (and just a few months before I received a A Lovely Surprise from Mr. Macfadyen on my mailbox! ). I had once thought of writing a letter to her, but didn't expect to actually be writing her. My wonderful friend and fellow P&P/RP fan,  Maia (thanks a lot), who first wrote her a fan letter before I did had shared Miss Pike 's fan mail address with me and she got a response from her (See Maia's Rosamund Pike Autographed Photos ). I thought I'd try my luck of writing her too as I've been a fan of Rosamund Pike since Pride & Prejudice (2005) film. Since then, I've seen most of Rosamund 's TV and film work. There are only a few that I have not seen yet including her upcoming films. I think she's not only beautiful, kind, friendly, and intelligent, but ...

Who knew over a year later, I would hear back from today's birthday celebrant ! Yes, I'm talking about the handsome and very talented (one of my favorite actors) Matthew Macfadyen himself, especially when I least expected it! I just received a (surprise) reply from Matthew (on the eve of his birthday, of all days...) yesterday, late afternoon when I checked my mailbox! OMG! I can't believe I got a reply from Matthew!!! I had an Elizabeth Bennet stunned moment when I saw the familiar envelope (RSE) while opening my mailbox, lol...It was like getting an unexpected Darcy's Letter! Or in this case, Mr. Macfadyen's letter ...well, not exactly a letter, but a reply from him nonetheless...! So, it's a lovely gift to received from him (the day before his birthday), which makes me so happy even more to celebrate his special day today, as I've been busy preparing for his birthday celebratory marathon posts on Devoted P&P Fans FB page for today (as you can ...
