Longbourn film on pre-production and a new Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe book & TV movie in the works!

Two Pride and Prejudice related book and movie news...

Longbourn (Feature Film) and Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe (TV Christmas Movie).

First, here's a bit of an update on the long in development feature film, I posted almost four years ago here: Focus Features acquired feature film rights for Pride and Prejudice spinoff 'Longbourn'. This movie is now listed (on IMDB) as being on pre-production (very recently updated this January 27th) and looks to be slated to released for sometime this year. No casting news and filming info. as of yet.

Today (January 27th) is the lovely and ethereally beautiful, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Academy Award nominee for Best Actress (for her outstanding performance as Amy Dunne in Gone GirlRosamund Pike (aka Pride & Prejudice 2005's very own Jane Bennet)'s 38th Birthday! All the best to her on her upcoming film projects slated to be released starting with the US theater release of A United Kingdom next month (February 10th) and more films sometime later this year.

DVD News: Hallmark's Unleashing Mr. Darcy movie coming to DVD on May 2nd!

Great news for fans ofUnleashing Mr. Darcy (starring as Donovan Darcy, as Elizabeth Scott, and as Violet Darcy), the DVD is finally coming on May 2nd, 2017 (via It's A Wonderful Movie Blog). So, Mark your calendars! It premiered this month last year (January 23, 2016) onHallmark Channel(as part of Winterfest 2016). No listing yet on Amazon for pre-order details, but I'll be sure to update this post as soon as it's does.

Speaking of this movie, it just re-aired last Saturday (January 21st) and looks like it's going to be showing again on Hallmark Channel (as listed, but only one time though, on the movie's page next schedule airing here) next month close to Valentine's Day!

Must-See Winter/Spring 2017 TV & Films starring Pride & Prejudice (2005) Actors

2016 is now last year and we're now in the the middle or close towards the end of January in the New Year 2017! You know what that means, right? New TV series/returning shows and movies to look forward to this Winter and Spring from ourfavorite P&P (2005) actors! Continuing my annual list of some Pride & Prejudice (2005) alumni (and director Joe Wright) with a new movie and TV series or mini-series starting this month of January through April of 2017 (as well as a few upcoming films to see in mid to late 2017!).

More posters, stills, and a February US theatrical release for Rosamund Pike's A United Kingdom film!

More new US and UK posters has been released (via Pathe UK) for Belle director Amma Asante’s latest film A United Kingdom starring Rosamund Pikewith her Jack Reacher co-star David Oyelowo (who co-produced the film). The film premiered at TIFF (Toronto Int. Film Festival) last year (September 9th). It served as the Opening Night galaof the 60th BFI London Film Festival, with its European premiere set for Wednesday, October 5th.As for the U.S. Theatrical Release, after the premiere of the movie at TIFF last September, Fox Searchlight bought the North American rights to this film with a February 10, 2017 release.
