Before The Fall ~ A Re-imagining of Pride and Prejudice

Image
There's a new film adaptation of Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice that is quite different and an interesting take from the many P&P adaptations that were released and came before it. This one is an independent film that made a few film festival rounds late last year. The film is called Before The Fall, a modern re-imagining of Austen's P&P. The description of the movie is quite interesting with same sex protagonists in Ben Bennet (instead of Miss Elizabeth Bennet) and a poor Lee Darcy. It's basically a gay romance contemporary film, but it still featured a straight supporting couple in Jane& Bingley. According to its official facebook page, Before The Fall written and directed by and starring Ethan Sharrett, Chase Conner, Brandi Price, and Jason Mac will be released online (via google play, Amazon, iTunes, and Vudu) worldwide in May (2017).

For more info. on this movie, for those of you interested, check out the synopsis, production s…

Pride and Prejudice Quotes from Novel to Film (Chapter 1)

Image
I previously posted here about the Most Memorable Quotes from Pride & Prejudice (2005) film and they were mostly memorable quotes taken from the movie that were written by best-selling novelist and P&P screenwriterDeborah Moggach (including additional lines that were written by ), and not taken from the book. On this post, however, I thought I'd compile all the quotes/dialogues from the movie's script that were either taken directly from the novel or adapted and worded slightly different, but still remain similar (and probably done so on purpose to make the lines and dialogues easier to understand for modern and international audiences watching the 2005 film) to the original source.

More set photos (including a cast reunion on set between KK and her on-screen husband as Peter from LA movie. Most Memorable Quotes from Pride & Prejudice (2005) film

Image
One of my many favorite things about Pride & Prejudice (2005) film starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen is the memorable lines/quotes that were said by our favorite characters in the film, but were not in the original source (P&P novel), which I thought was creative and quite clever as the added lines and newly created dialogue by best-selling novelist and P&P screenwriterDeborah Moggach (even additional lines that were written by , albeit she was uncredited for, but she did received a mentioned and special thanks in the movie's end credits) fits perfectly, in addition to most of the actual lines/quotes taken from the book (though most were worded differently, but still meant the same).
