Here's today's quick news round up of TV and film news (including casting calls, a film synopsis, trailers, release dates, festival news, etc.) of the following P&P (2005) actors: Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Brenda Blethyn, Talulah Riley, and Pip Torrens, with director Joe Wright all in one post!
First Official Photo: Keira Knightley as Rachael Morgan in The Aftermath
Alexander Skarsgard (The Legend of Tarzan, True Blood), and Jason Clarke (Everest) in the film adaptation of Rhidian Brook’s bestselling novel. Brook, Joe Shrapnel, and Anna Waterhouse adapted the book and James Kent (Testament of Youth) directed The Aftermath.
The Plot: The Aftermath is set in postwar Germany in 1946. Rachael Morgan (Knightley) arrives in the ruins of Hamburg in the bitter winter, to be reunited with her husband Lewis (Clarke), a British colonel charged with rebuilding the shattered city. But as they set off for their new home, Rachael is stunned to discover that Lewis has made an unexpected decision: They will be sharing the grand house with its previous owners, a German widower (Skarsgård) and his troubled daughter. In this charged atmosphere, enmity and grief give way to passion and betrayal. [Showbiz Junkie]

Filming started for BBC and Starz' Howards End starring Hayley Atwell & Matthew Macfadyen
Instagram account that their upcoming new mini-series Howards End started filming last week. She posted a few on set and location photos as well as working again with MM (with their AHH still on her post). See them below...
Filming begins. I'm thrilled to be working with #kennethlonergan on his adaptation of Howard's End for the BBC and #Starz. Margaret Schlegel is an extraordinary character: 'Only connect! That was the whole of her sermon. Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height' #grateful #onlyconnect
Howards End explores the changing landscape of social and class divisions in turn-of-the-century England through the prism of three families: the intellectual and idealistic Schlegels, the wealthy Wilcoxes from the world of business and the working-class Basts. Playground is executive producing in association with City Entertainment and KippSter Entertainment.
Atwell will play Margaret Schlegel, Macfadyen will portray Henry Wilcox, and Ullman will play Aunt Juley Mund. [Deadline]
