Another update here on Then & Now: The Many Faces of Mr. Darcy in continuing with the 200th anniversary celebration of Jane Austen 's classic Pride and Prejudice novel , which will be on Monday! Fitzwilliam Darcy , generally referred to as Mr. Darcy , is one of the two central characters in Jane Austen 's novel Pride and Prejudice . He is an archetype of the aloof romantic hero, and a romantic interest of Elizabeth Bennet , the novel's protagonist. The story's narration is almost exclusively from Elizabeth's perspective; she is portrayed as the sympathetic figure, and Darcy hardly so until the later chapters of the novel—as knowledge and ironic events are revealed to Elizabeth. Here's a big update for those of you who have been following and waiting for news and updates on the latest film version of Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice... Bonnie Mae , who wrote the screenplay , produced , and directed the new independent film , A Modern Pride and Prejudice starring  Maia Petee and Caleb Grusing has not only sent me more production stills , promo posters , on set and behind the scenes photos of her cast and crew, but she also sent me a youtube link to...wait for it...the trailer!!! Yes, you read it right...the first trailer to her P&P movie and you get to see it here (before anywhere else) first! Also, the film is now completed and it's coming to DVD very soon! Here's my new interview with my friend writer/producer / director Bonnie Mae , who wrote the screenplay, produced, and directed the new independent film, Pride and Prejudice ( A modern day tale of First Impressions ) starring  Maia Petee and Caleb Grusing . It's still in post-production and editing process. So, I recently did a follow up interview with Bonnie (last time I interviewed her was last February, about 10 months ago, and just a few weeks after the official cast was annnounced here of P&P 2010 ) to give us an update on the status of her Pride and Prejudice movie (a new alternate title: " A Modern Pride and Prejudice "). I thought while we wait for the trailer, movie poster, and the completed film, I'd ask her the following questions about the movie. Also, I've included here a couple new update on her interview, new stills and on set/behind the scenes photos as well.

Although the new independent film, Pride and Prejudice (2010) is still currently on post-production and editing process, my friend Bonnie Mae , the writer/producer/director of this film has sent me some production stills and behind the scenes/on set/cast and crew wrap party photos and a sneak peek clip from the movie to whet our appetites while we wait for the trailer , movie poster , and the completed film. The teaser clip features Maia Petee ( Elizabeth Bennet ), Caleb Grusing ( Mr. Darcy ), Mark Mook ( Mr. Bingley ), and Christina LaFon ( Jane Bennet ) in what looks like a Netherfield Park scene where Lizzy and Jane were leaving from the Bingleys [rented] home after Jane [who rode her bike instead of a car] recovered from her illness. Last time I did a Q&A with Caleb Grusing was about 5 months ago ( February 12th ) and just a week after P&P 2010 Cast was announced and he was cast as Mr. Darcy in a new modern adaptation of Jane Austen 's classic novel, Pride and Prejudice . Caleb Grusing (photo by Alex Forsett ), as everyone (who have been reading this blog) should know by now, is co-starring with Maia Petee ( Elizabeth Bennet ) in Pride and Prejudice: A Modern Day Tale of First Impressions from writer/producer/director Bonnie Mae 's independent production company PaperCut Productions LLC . As I previously mentioned here , filming officially wrapped for P&P 2010 last month ( June 27th ), but they have about 8-9 more make up scenes to shoot started Tuesday ( July 13th ), Saturday ( July 17th ), and Sunday ( July 18th ). Filming wrapped last June 27th for Pride and Prejudice (2010) , the new modern, independent feature film (starring Maia Petee and Caleb Grusing ) that my wonderful friend director   Bonnie Mae (wrote/produced/directed and) was filming every weekend since May ( 8th ). According to Bonnie , they will be filming about 8 more (make up) scenes before it goes to the editing room for post-production. New  Jane Austen adapted or inspired of films for 2010 and 2011 . From a modern Pride and Prejudice to a Bollywood take on Emma ( Aisha ) to a Latina spin of Sense and Sensibility ( From Prada to Nada ). Plus a film version of ITV 's 2008 Lost In Austen (still in development, according to IMDB) to a zombie parody of Pride and Prejudice ( Pride and Prejudice and Zombies ). Looks like there's something for everyone from an often Jane-Austen-novel-adapted-or-inspired-of-films to check out or look forward to soon (starting in August). Here's a list of some JA related films currently filming, in post-production, and or still in-development for a possible release of 2010 and 2011. 

Filming for the upcoming independent feature film, Pride and Prejudice (2010) , a modern day tale of first impressions started earlier this month ( May 8th ) in Colorado Springs, Colorado (USA). Director Bonnie Mae has been keeping me updated on the filming status of this film and as usual, she was awesome enough to have sent me the following BTS and on set photos and had given me permission to post them here as well. Sorry for the long delay...I didn't forget about this, as I had originally planned on posting this here about a month ago or so...but alas, things don't always go as you plan as it often does...so let's just leave it at that, lol...besides, it's posted here now... ;) So, as promised, here are my P&P 2010 Men Interviews . First...There's a slight change of the interviews though, as originally, I was going to interview 4 actors of the Pride and Prejudice (2010) film, but as previously posted here , James O'Hagan-Murphy , who was originally cast in the role of Mr. Hurst was replaced and the interview I had planned to do with him didn't happen as well, unfortunately. He seemed like such a nice guy...Oh, well, I wish him all the best. Fortunately, I still have three other fun interviews to share with you all from the following P&P actors : Mark Mook , James Hawthorn , and A.C. Earing , who will be playing three of the important supporting roles...

As previously posted here , Maia Petee ( Elizabeth Bennet ) and  Caleb Grusing ( Mr. Darcy ) did a new photo shoot together last April 9th for an official promo pictures for their upcoming modern adaptation of Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice (2010) . Filming of this independent film commence next month and throughout the month of June in Colorado.
