Pride & Prejudice (2005) FAN Blog

Pride & Prejudice (2005) Fan Blog Celebrates 11 Years Online! On this day ( May 29th, 2007 ), exactly eleven years ago, I started this little P&P fan blog . Wow, it's been 11 long years !!! I can't believe it's been 11 years already! It seems just like yesterday, I was a newbie to Blogger...and was learning and figuring out how to post, let alone, add codes and contents to this blog. I never thought I'd be blogging about all things P&P , not too mention this long, but it's all because of my on going love for this 2005 movie version of  Pride & Prejudice   and the amazing actors who portrayed my favorite P&P characters brilliantly on this 4th-time Oscar nominated film. I've really enjoyed blogging here and posting all things  P&P (though in recent years it's been mostly about P&P actors and their TV & Film project news articles ) and P&P/Austen  related topics as frequently as I've been able t...

First of all, we have a P&P reunion with the main leads Keira Knightley and  Matthew Macfadyen along with their director   Joe Wright in the upcoming and much anticipated new film adaptation of Anna Karenina . You know, we'll be talking about it a lot here as soon as more news and info is released for that film. You've been forewarned, lol...Also, Keira Knightley has another new film, Seeking a Friend for the end of the World , a non-period drama for a change, with Steve Carell, which will be released on April 20th before AK film. Here are a list of some P&P '05 alumni with a new movie starting this Fall through Winter of 2011 (early 2012) . But first... Looks like only one two P&P actors has a movie in theaters this fall, Matthew Macfadyen has The Three Musketeers in 3D film and Rupert Friend has 5 Days War . It is, once again, mostly P&P actresses who are going to be seen in theaters this fall/winter of 2011 such as Keira Knightley has A Dangerous Method premiering at both Venice and Toronto Film Festivals. No theatrical release date for that film yet. Update: Sony Pictures Classics has now set a U.S release date for A Dangerous Method for November 23rd ! It will also have a gala screening at this year's New York Film Fest on Oct. 5th . Keira has another made for TV movie titled Neverland as the voice of Tinker Bell , which will air on Syfy on December. Ok, I did not forget about our favorite P&P male actors . Of course not. Not when the handsome and darcylicious Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy leading the talented P&P men here. No, can't say that I would, lol. These wonderful men of the 2005 Pride & Prejudice film are as talented and incredible actors as their female co-stars, who dominated the P&P cast . Four  (including season veteran and legendary actor Donald Sutherland ) of them have been working steady and continued to get recognized on their own in various stage plays, television and film projects they've done since their P&P movie . Here are a compiled list of what our favorite P&P male actors are currently doing, which TV show or films you last seen them starred/appeared in, and what they will be doing next (via IMDB) to name a few...

More than five years ago, I watched my now all-time favorite film to watch multiple times : Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen .To easily quote one of my favorites and Mr. Darcy 's most memorable lines in the film, the first time I saw this film, it instantly " bewitched me body and soul ," and I was hooked and have been watching it ever since! Obviously! This is why I've been blogging about this film and still do. I just love, love, love watching this film! I had been watching this film so many times (I've already lost count after 50+ on how many times...) ever since it was released in theaters that late November in 2005 and on DVD in 2006 and then on Blu-ray in 2010...and still do and love re-watching it even more so to this day. This beautiful and brilliantly breathtaking film always cheers me up no matter what mood I'm in. I just love this film a lot and must say it's my absolute favorite version (albeit I'm...

The following P&P '05 actors has new films to be released starting this Winter/Spring/Summer / Fall (from January to December ) of 2011. Where are our favorite P&P actors now post P&P movie? Looks like they are just getting more and more TV and film and stage play projects after another each year. The P&P 2005 cast (see photo above to your left) has to be the most successful (from any or previous actors who had done P&P adaptations saved for Colin Firth , who seems to be the only one from the P &P 1995 cast to be a constant success after he starred as Mr. Darcy in the popular '95 miniseries) with pretty much every actor in the main and supporting ensemble cast doing more movies after P&P movie (even then unknown Matthew Macfadyen ( Mr. Darcy ), Rupert Friend ( Mr. Wickham ), Kelly Reilly ( Caroline Bingley ), Tom Hollander ( Mr. Collins ), Claudie Blakley ( Charlotte Lucas ), Penelope Wilton ( Mrs. Gardiner ), and Tamzin Mer...

It is now truth universally acknowledged ...well, at least to my long-time and faithful readers of this blog that I love, love, love Pride & Prejudice ...the 2005 film starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen . It's no secret here that the 2005 film was, is, and almost 5 years later ...still is to this very day, my personal favorite of the few adaptations I've seen of Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice (ie. the 1980 miniseries and 1995 miniseries , and a bit of the 1940 black-and-white film ) as well as other inspired of P&P film versions (ie. Bride & Prejudice , Bridget Jones's Diar y and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason , 2003's Pride and Prejudice: A Latter-Day Comedy , and 2008's "Lost in Austen" ). As open minded I am about any P&P adapted or inspired films I've seen (or heard), the 2005 film still remain on top of my must-see movies list (old and new), in my humble opinion, of course. After all, this blog...
