Indeed, happy 𝟐𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐞! On this day, January 28th (in 1813), Jane Austen's timeless classic Pride and Prejudice novel (in 3 volumes: 📕📗📘 and originally titled First Impressions ), was first published!

Today ( January 27th ) is the lovely and ethereally beautiful,  Golden Globe ,  BAFTA ,  Academy Award nominee  for  Best Actress  (for her outstanding performance as  Amy Dunne  in  Gone Girl ) and  Emmy Award  winner  Rosamund Pike  (aka  Pride & Prejudice 2005 's very own  Jane Bennet )'s  45th Birthday ! Or is it?!?! :-) Again, continuing to celebrate her annual internet birthday here, lol. Miss Pike (photo by Charlie Gray Studio) herself, posted two years ago today, on her official Instagram page that January 27th is her internet birthday (and somewhat not her real birthday)! Well, color me surprised (much like her P&P co-star Rupert Friend’s birthday confusion...) as I’ve been celebrating her birthday on this day for years, lol. I blame her IMDB and Wiki pages for not providing her real birthdate, if her actual birthday is, in fact not today! Tom Hollander   stars as Truman Capote in the upcoming FX 's limited series, FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans , which is the second installment in Ryan Murphy 's FEUD anthology. Congratulations to our 4th Bennet girl ,  Carey Mulligan  (aka Miss Kitty Bennet ) for her third Academy award nomination (so happy for Carey ) in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category as Felicia Montealegre Bernstein and her film, Netflix's Maestro for scoring 7 Oscar nominations this morning including Best Picture , Best Actress (for Carey ), and Best Actor for Bradley Cooper !!!  Unfortunately, our other Bennet girl ,  Rosamund Pike  (aka Miss Jane Bennet ) didn’t get in, in the Best Supporting Actress category for her wonderful performance as Espelth Catton in Saltburn . Oh, well…at least she got a Golden Globe and BAFTA Film award nominations .    Also, congrats to P&P ’s own crew: Jaqueline Durran for her Best Costume Design nomination and for Sarah Greenwood ( production design ) and Katie Spencer ( set decoration ) for Best Production Design all for Barbie Movie!!! Rosamund Pike  and  Carey Mulligan   both nominated for 2024 EE BAFTA film awards !!  The EE BAFTA Film Awards will be hosted by David Tennant and will take place on Sunday ,  February   18 , on BBC One and iPlayer and broadcast around the world including on Britbox in North America. Congratulations to Carey & Rosamund for their EE Bafta nominations! ! Carey for Lead Actress in Maestro film (which scored a total of 7 nominations ) and Rosamun d for Supporting Actress for Saltburn film (which received a total of 5 nominations )!! 

A back to back mini Pride & Prejudice (2005) Reunions with  Matthew Macfadyen ,  Rosamund Pike , and  Carey Mulligan  at Critics Choice Awards 2024 !!!  It’s Kitty Bennet reuniting with her brother-in-law, Mr. Darcy and eldest sister Jane Bennet (at last Sunday’s CCA, January 14, 2024) !! To quote Mrs. Bennet , " thank the Lord for that. I thought it would nover happen. " :-D 

Matthew Macfadyen  wins his second Emmy Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Succession!! Congratulations to Matthew for his second Emmys for Oustanding Supporting Actor!! and his Succession family for winning a total of 6 Emmys including Best Actress for Sarah Snook, Best Actor for Keiran Culkin, and Best Drama series for the show)!!!!!!  Now, Matthew is a two-time Emmy Award winner!! Plus, a Golden Globe award winner, and two-time BAFTA award winner!! To quote Miss Elizabeth Bennet, “Bravo” Mr. Darcy!!

Emmy Award winner  Matthew Macfadyen  at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards Arrival!  Matthew Macfadyen (with his wife Keeley Hawes) attended the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Peacock Theater (January 15, 2024) in Los Angeles, California. 

Matthew Macfadyen ,  Rosamund Pike , and  Carey Mulligan  at 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards!    Matthew (with wife Keeley Hawes), Rosamund, and Carey were all in attendance at the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards at Barker Hangar (January 14, 2024) in Santa Monica, California. 

The nominations for the upcoming SAG ( Screen Actors Guild Awards ) was announced this morning and  Matthew Macfadyen  and  Carey Mulligan   were both nominated for individual awards in their categories. Unfortunately,  Rosamund Pike  didn't get a nomination. The SAG Awards will be held on February 24, 2024. 

Matthew Macfadyen  wins Best Supporting Male Actor - Television Award at Golden Globe Awards 2024 along with Succession winning 3 more awards including Best Drama Series!!!!  Congratulations to our forever Mr. Darcy , Matthew Macfadyen for winning his very first Golden Globe award for Succession (as well as to his co-stars Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin and to the amazing cast & crew of Succession for their Best Drama Series win)!  Check out some photos of Matthew during the award show and press con below...

Today,  January 4th , is former  Pride & Prejudice  star  Claudie Blakley 's (best known to P&P Fans as  Charlotte Lucas  turned  Mrs. Collins  in  P&P movie ) 50th birthday . Claudie , born  Claudia ,  Blakley  is the sister of Kirsten Blakley, the lead singer with indie band Little Spitfire, and their father was  Alan Blakley , bassist with Brian Poole's Tremeloes, who had several pop hits in the 1960s.
