ITV and PBS Masterpiece has just released 5 first look still images from their upcoming Jane Austen TV adaptation Sanditon , which will air later this year (in the Fall, on ITV in the UK) and in 2020 on PBS Masterpiece (in the U.S.). The first ever television adaptation of Jane Austen’s unfinished novel Sanditon is coming to ITV (in the UK) in Fall 2019 and on MASTERPIECE on PBS in the 2020 season! Written by multi-award winning screenwriter Andrew Davies ( Pride and Prejudice 1995 , Les Misérables , Mr. Selfridge ), Sanditon stars Rose Williams , Theo James , Kris Marshall and Anne Reid among others. There's a new Jane Austen film adaptation (Note: this new Emma movie is the second film version since Gwyneth Paltrow's Emma 1996 film and the fifth Emma adaptations including two well-known TV versions: Emma 1996 TV Movie with Kate Beckinsale and Emma 2009 TV Miniseries with Romola Garai) of Emma , which is produced by Working Title Films and will be released and distributed by Focus Features (same production company and film distributor of Joe Wright's Pride & Prejudice 2005 film). It stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Emma Woodhouse , Johnny Flynn as Mr. Knightley , Bill Nighy as Mr. Woodhouse , Rupert Graves as Mr. Weston , Miranda Hart as Miss Bates , Mia Goth as Hariet Smith , and Callum Turner as Frank Churchill . This new Emma film (has an official Instagram account) has started filming (March 2019) and wrapped principal photography recently (June 2019) and is currently on post-production. It was a rumor yesterday, but today, it's officially confirmed that Rosamund Pike (photo via Wheel of Time Writer's Room official Twitter account) will star in the lead role of Moiraine and will be credited as a producer of Amazon's TV series adaptation of The Wheel of Time . Dame Judi Dench along with Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey , Beauty And the Beast ) and Isla Fisher will lead the cast of Edward Hall's Blithe Spirit , based on Noel Coward's 1941 play, according to Screen Daily . The trailer for Keira Knightley 's upcoming film Official Secrets has been released by Entertainment One UK. The film is directed by Eye In The Sky 's Gavin Hood also stars Matt Smith , Matthew Goode , Rhys Ifans , and Ralph Fiennes . Official Secrets , which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, is set for a select U.S. Theater release on August 23rd and in UK cinemas on October 18th.
