Pride & Prejudice (2005) Blog

A new documentary film titled Revolution - New Art For A New World feature voices by actors including a few Pride & Prejudice actors such Matthew Macfadyen ( P&P 2005 ), Tom Hollander ( P&P 2005 ), and Eleanor Tomlinson ( Georgiana Darcy of Death Comes To Pemberley ). This will be the 6th time  Matthew Macfadyen  ( Mr. Darcy ) and  Tom Hollander  ( Mr. Collins ) co-starred or appeared in the same project together.  They previously co-starred and appeared in  5  TV ( Any Human  Heart and Ambassadors ) & Films ( Maybe Baby ,  Enigma , and most notably in  Pride & Prejudice  2005  film). The first trailer has just been released (via Pathe UK) for  Belle  director  Amma Asante ’s new film  A United Kingdom  starring  Rosamund Pike   with her  Jack Reacher  co-star  David Oyelowo  (who co-produced the film). The film will debut at TIFF (Toronto Int. Film Festival) next month (September 9th) and  is set to serve as the  Opening Night gala   of the  60th BFI London Film Festival , with its  European premiere  set for Wednesday,  October 5th . Today ( August 25th ), is Pride & Prejudice 's own brilliant director Joe Wright 's 44th Birthday ! I found out a few years ago that his birthday's today and he shares the same birthday as Tom Hollander ! They've worked together 3 times in 3 ( Pride & Prejudice , The Soloist , and Hanna ) of his 5 feature films .

Tonight the fourth season of BBC America 's  crime mini-series  Ripper Street   starring  Matthew Macfadyen  (as  Detective Inspector Edmund Reid ) continues with Episode 5  in its new time  at 6/5c ( 10/9c ).  Jerome Flynn , and  Adam Rothenberg  also star.
