Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit goes IMAX, moves to January 17, 2014

Paramount Pictures has announced that director Kenneth Branagh's Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, starring Chris Pine, Keira Knightley, Kevin Costner, Peter Andersson, David Paymer, and Colman Feore, has moved to a January 17, 2014 release. It was originally slated to hit theaters on December 25 of this year. The film will also be receiving a release in IMAX theaters.

The Black Box starring Kelly Reilly to film in New York starting Monday! (via Baz Bamigboye of UK's MailOnline):
Watch out for... Kelly Reilly, who starts filming 13 episodes of new drama The Black Box in New York on Monday, for the U.S. ABC network. Reilly, who was in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes films and was very, very fine in the movie Flight, plays a neuroscientist trying to confront psychological problems. It’s based on cracking scripts by Amy Holden Jones, and the first two episodes will be directed by Simon Curtis. The network wants The Black Box to match the brilliant, edgy dramas on cable TV such as Breaking Bad, Homeland and The Walking Dead. Vanessa Redgrave will also star as Reilly’s therapist, David Ajala will play her boyfriend and Laura Fraser her sister-in-law.

Meanwhile, Lionsgate has revealed details about the Catching Fire World Premiere, taking place November 11th in London. The red carpet arrivals will begin at 5:30pm London time (12:30pm ET), and Yahoo! will live stream the entire spectacle. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland and Francis Lawrence are all confirmed to appear at the London premiere- and are also expected at the U.S. premiere in Los Angeles.

Cleeves has had huge success with her Vera Stanhope and Shetland novels. ITV recently finished screening the third series of Vera, with Brenda Blethyn in the title role, and has commissioned a fourth, now being filmed in the north-east and due to be broadcast next year. "I'm aware families sit around the telly to watch Vera, which is making entertainment out of murder," said Cleeves. "But I don't enjoy reading about people's pain. I tend to put myself in that position and it's not somewhere I want to be.
