On TV Tonight: Watch the US premiere (Episode 1) of 'Death Comes To Pemberley' on PBS Masterpiece Mystery!

The U.S. premiere is finally here (10 months later after it first premiered in the UK last December 2013) and it starts tonight with Episode 1 for Death Comes to Pemberley starring Matthew Rhys (as Mr. Darcy) and Anna Maxwell Martin (as Elizabeth Darcy...née Bennet) at 9 pm ET on PBS Masterpiece Mystery! I had the pleasure in seeing this early via YouTube last December 2013, the UK unedited (3 episodes) version. You can read my long P&P 200: Death Comes To Pemberley (2013) Review here. I'll still be watching this though on my TV screen tonight and if you're following me: @pandp2005 on Twitter, I'll be live tweeting as I watch from 9:00-10:30 PM ET (east coast time)!

Six years after the end of Jane Austen's timeless classic, Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth and Darcy plan a ball...with fatal consequences. A family enemy takes charge of the case.
Death Comes to Pemberley comes to MASTERPIECE Mystery! in two thrilling episodes, Sundays October 26 and November 2, 2014 on PBS.  

It was included in this year's 2014 Masterpiece Mystery Fall Schedule line-up. The 3-part BBC murder-mystery mini-series (where it premiered in UK's BBC One last December 2013) will premiere on Sunday October 26 through November 2, 2014 at 9-10:30 pm ET. 

An adaptation of P.D. James’ witty and inventive continuation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice picks up the story six years after the marriage of Elizabeth and Darcy. As preparations are being made for a ball at their Pemberley home, the discovery of a corpse brings an abrupt and shocking halt to the proceedings — and a threat to all that the Darcys hold dear. Sundays, October 26-November 2, 2014, 9:00-10:30 p.m. ET

Today ( January 27th ) is the lovely and ethereally beautiful,  Golden Globe ,  BAFTA , Academy Award nominee  for  Best Actress  (for her outstanding performance as  Amy Dunne  in  Gone Girl ) and Emmy Award winner  Rosamund Pike  (aka  Pride & Prejudice 2005 's very own  Jane Bennet )'s  42nd Birthday ! Or is it?!?! Miss Pike herself just posted on her official Instagram page that today is her internet birthday (and somewhat not her real birthday)! Well, color me surprised (much like her P&P co-star Rupert Friend’s birthday confusion...) as I’ve been celebrating her birthday on this day for years, lol. I blame her IMDB and Wiki pages for not providing her real birthdate, if her actual birthday is, in fact not today! Although there’s that one time it was listed on the 28th, but for years and even now it’s still listed as the 27th! Which is correct?  Unless, Miss Pike can clarify and correct that..for now, I’ll continue to celebrate her internet birthday today! Still,

Top 10 Favorite Pride & Prejudice Movie Quotes

Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues... One of the many things I love about Pride & Prejudice ( 2005 ) movie is the memorable and quotable quotes (and dialogue ). I know pretty much every line/quote uttered by various characters in this movie by heart. There isn't just one to remember because there are so many unforgettable quotes and one-liners from this movie. For my Top 10 Favorite Pride & Prejudice Movie Quotes here, it was very hard to pick and just narrow it down to 10, but that's the point of making a top 10 list. I know I left out a lot, but I managed to pick 10 that I can quote instantly and love the most. Obviously, the top 2 are a fan favorite, but mine too. P&P Movie Script

I was looking through old threads over at IMDB a while back and I found a link to the P&P 2005 movie script ... from an awesome JA/P&P fanfiction related site called, Mrs. Darcy's Story Site . I've read the entire script from this site. It seemed accurate with deleted scenes included! (though there were spelling errors on some of the lines...just a lil' typo here and there)... Btw, the webmistress at Mrs. Darcy's site has added her comments to the script comparing this draft with what was actually released on film , which I thought was quite interesting (especially the deleted scenes from the movie ). It was a lot of fun to read. I thought I would keep the link and post it here (a lil' excerpt here) for those of you might be interested in reading this or have been looking for the P&P movie script/transcript online.
