Currently filming and more confirmed cast for 'Death Comes to Pemberley'

As previously posted here, BBC One's Death Comes to Pemberley has announced its main trio cast of Matthew Rhys (who co-starred with Keira Knightley in The Edge of Love film) and Anna Maxwell Martin (who co-starred with Carey Mulligan in Bleak House, with Penelope Wilton on South Riding, and sister to Anne Hathaway's Jane Austen in Becoming Jane) has been cast to play Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth (Bennet) Darcy. Matthew Goode (who co-starred with Penelope Wilton in Matchpoint and Claudie Blakley in He Knew He Was Right) will play Mr. Wickham. Now, more cast members has been added and confirmed via BBC - Media Centre (see full cast and crew listing on IMDB) as production for the 3-part serial began last month. The cast and crew are currently filming at Castle Howard in Yorkshire, England, UK until July 12.

Cast confirmed for Death Comes To Pemberley on BBC One

Following the announcement that Anna Maxwell Martin (Elizabeth), Matthew Rhys (Darcy) and Matthew Goode (Wickham) will star in Death Comes To Pemberley, BBC One and Origin Pictures are delighted to confirm further stellar casting for this dazzling adaptation for BBC One.

Further casting includes (click their names to see their images): Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who, Dancing On The Edge) as Lydia Wickham; Trevor Eve (Kidnap And Ransom, Waking The Dead) as Sir Selwyn Hardcastle; Rebecca Front (The Thick Of It) as Mrs Bennet; James Fleet (The Vicar Of Dibley, Little Dorrit) as Mr Bennet; Penelope Keith (To The Manor Born) as Lady Catherine de Bourgh; Joanna Scanlan (The Thick Of It, Stella) as Mrs Reynolds; Tom Ward (Silent Witness) as Colonel Fitzwilliam; Eleanor Tomlinson (The White Queen) as Georgiana Darcy; and James Norton (Doctor Who, Cheerful Weather For The Wedding) as Mr Alveston.

Adapted from PD James' internationally bestselling novel, this remarkably inventive homage to Austen brings her much-loved world to life in an original and suspenseful way.

Filming will begin this month on location in Yorkshire and has been supported with investment from Screen Yorkshire.

Directed by BAFTA-winning director Daniel Percival (Dirty War, Place Of Execution), the executive producer for Origin Pictures is Ed Rubin and the producers for Origin Pictures are David Thompson and Eliza Mellor.

The executive producer for the BBC is Polly Hill and the executive producer for Screen Yorkshire is Hugo Heppell.

The drama was commissioned by Controller of BBC Drama Commissioning, Ben Stephenson and former Controller of BBC One, now Director of Television, Danny Cohen.
