Summer 2014 is over! Yep, you know what that means, right? New TV series/returning shows and movies to look forward to this Autumn from our favorite P&P actors! Continuing my annual list of some Pride & Prejudice 2005 alumni with a new movie and TV series or mini-series starting this month through December of 2014 (as well as a few upcoming films to see in 2015!).

Downton Abbey (Season 5) - September 21, 2014 (UK) and Jan. 4, 2015 (USA) - (co-star) as Mrs. Isobel Crawley.
Secrets, scandal and a shaking of the ground. The doors of Downton are set to open once more on Sunday September 21st at 9pm and you've been cordially invited to share a first look at what lies ahead.

Homeland (Season 4) Episode 1 & 2 - October 5, 2014 - Rupert Friend as agent Peter Quinn

A Poet in New York - Coming This Fall on BBC America. No premiere date yet. (Tom Hollander stars)
Tom Hollander plays Dylan Thomas, the famous poet known for his wild, hard-drinking lifestyle. Written by screenwriter Andrew Davies (“House of Cards”), the drama explores how Thomas’ experiences made his life virtually untenable and examines how his destructive personality played into his own demise.

Death Comes to Pemberley starring Matthew Rhys (as Mr. Darcy), Anna Maxwell Martin (as Elizabeth Darcy...née Bennet) is coming to PBS Masterpiece! It was included in their 2014 Fall Schedule line-up. The 3-part BBC murder-mystery mini-series (where it premiered in UK's BBC One last December 2013) will premiere on Sunday October 26 through November 2, 2014 at 9-10:30 pm ET.

An adaptation of P.D. James’ witty and inventive continuation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice picks up the story six years after the marriage of Elizabeth and Darcy. As preparations are being made for a ball at their Pemberley home, the discovery of a corpse brings an abrupt and shocking halt to the proceedings — and a threat to all that the Darcys hold dear. Sundays, October 26-November 2, 2014, 9:00-10:30 p.m. ET

Current and Upcoming Fall 2014 Films 

Innocence - In U.S. Theaters August 29th, 2014 September 5, 2014 (Kelly Reilly co-stars).
After the untimely death of her mother in a Montauck surfing accident, Beckett, 16, and her father, novelist Miles Warner, move to the city to begin a new life. Enrolled at the exclusive Hamilton preparatory school in Riverdale, Becekett finds first love and discovers that the school is run by a coven of beautiful and seductive women who perpetuate their fountain of youth by drinking the blood of virgins.

Hector and the Search for Happiness - September 7th (TIFF 2014) and U.S. Theaters September 19th. (Rosamund Pike co-stars).
Pegg plays Hector, an eccentric yet irresistible London psychiatrist in crisis: his patients are just not getting any happier! He’s going nowhere. Then one day, armed with buckets of courage and an almost child-like curiosity, Hector breaks out of his sheltered vacuum of a life into a global quest to find out if happiness exists. More importantly, if it exists for Hector. And so begins a colorful, exotic, dangerous and hysterical journey.

The Riot Club - September 6th (TIFF 2014); In UK Cinemas September 19th, 2014. No U.S. Release Date yet... (Tom Hollander co-stars).
Set amongst the privileged elite of Oxford University, The Riot Club follows Miles (Max Irons) and Alistair (Sam Claflin), two first year students determined to join the infamous Riot Club, where reputations can be made or destroyed over the course of a single evening.

The Riot Club is directed by Lone Scherfig, who most recently helmed 'One Day', and the Best Picture Academy Award nominee 'An Education'. It is produced by Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent of Blueprint Pictures ('The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel', 'Seven Psychopaths').

What We Did On Our holiday is about a feuding couple, Doug (David Tennant) and Abi (Rosamund Pike), who are taking their three children on a trip to Scotland for a big family gathering. They are in the midst of a difficult divorce, and have asked the kids to keep it a secret from their extended family. But as the inevitable feuds kick in, a completely unexpected turn of events involving the children causes further tensions to rise to the surface. And with the repercussions that ensue - hilarious and emotional in equal measure - the family are forced to put aside their differences and work together or else risk losing what they hold most dear.

Gone Girl - In theaters October 3, 2014 (Rosamund Pike co-stars).
GONE GIRL – directed by David Fincher and based upon the global bestseller by Gillian Flynn – unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Laggies - In theaters September 26 October 24, 2014. Premiered at Sundance Film Festival January 2014 (Keira Knightley co-stars)
Laggies is a coming of age story about a 28-year-old woman stuck in permanent adolescence. Unable to find her career calling, still hanging out with the same friends, and living with her high school boyfriend, Megan must finally navigate her own future when an unexpected marriage proposal sends her into a panic.

The Imitation Game

In U.S. Theaters November 21st, 2014. (Keira Knightley co-stars).
Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, the film portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain's top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 - In US theaters November 21st, 2014. (Jena Malone as Johanna Mason co-stars again with Donald Sutherland as President Snow).

The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.
