In Retrospect: Keira Knightley's 5 Best Red Carpet Look during Pride & Prejudice era

Not only that, in my humble opinion, Keira Knightley's best film and best performance (which earned her a Golden Globe and Oscar Nominations for Best Actress in a Leading role for her outstanding performance of Elizabeth Bennet) was in one of my all-time favorite films, Joe Wright's Pride & Prejudice, I thought she looked and dressed at P&P premieres, red carpets, and award shows the best as well. Her dresses/gowns were quite memorable especially her stunningly gorgeous Oscar dress.

Looking back at her way back in 2005 and 2006 when she was (20-21 years old) promoting her Pride & Prejudice movie...

#1. "Keira wanted something dramatic and sexy," says Vera Wang of the dress she created for Knightley to wear to the Oscars. "The color is absolutely gorgeous on her." (In Style 2006)

The burgundy silk-taffeta one-shoulder gown with a vintage 1960's Bulgari necklace, which was custom-made for the 21-year-old actress (2006) and designed by Vera Wang.

#2. Nominated for Pride & Prejudice, the British star donned a Valentino gown and Cartier jewels at the Golden Globes (In Style 2006)
#3. She's totally in check: Knightley showed a love for classic tailoring in Roland Mouret at the Toronto Film Festival. (In Style 2005)
#4. At the NYC debut of Pride & Prejudice, the actress chose another bold hue, in a stunner by Calvin Klein Collection. (In Style 2005)
#5. "Like Keira, this is young and playful," says Matthew Williamson of his design. She wore it with bangles for a Pride & Prejudice London premiere. (In Style 2005)
