On TV Tonight: Watch Jena Malone in the premiere of History's 'Hatfields & McCoys' miniseries

Tonight is the premiere of History channel's highly anticipated scripted mini-series HATFIELDS & MCCOYS starring Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, Jena Malone, Tom Berenger, Powers Boothe and Mare Winningham. The 3-part miniseries begins with Episode 1 (Part 1). Episodes 2 and 3 will air tomorrow night and Wednesday night.

History’s ‘Hatfields & McCoys’ Sets Cable Ratings Record With 13.9 Million Viewers

History entered the original scripted arena in a big way last night. The premiere of the cable network’s miniseries Hatfields & McCoys drew a staggering 13.9 million total viewers, 4.8 million adults 18-48 and 5.8 million adults 25-54 from 9-11 PM to become the the No. 1 non-sports telecast in ad-supported cable television history. The combined viewership for Part 1′s two airings was 17 million. 

Hatfields & McCoys chronicle of one of the most infamous family rivalries in American history. Kevin Costner plays “Devil” Anse Hatfield and Bill Paxton plays Randall McCoy in the three-part miniseries.

Part 1: airing Monday, May 28 at 9/8 Central. 
Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton star in this all-new three-part miniseries about the legendary and deadly family feud that broke out in the backwoods of West Virginia and Kentucky after the Civil War. The clash of clans begins when a Hatfield murders a McCoy, and Randall McCoy's daughter and Devil Anse Hatfield's son begin a tempestuous, forbidden love affair. Part 1 of 3. (2012)
