Joe Wright to direct screen adaptation of Tim Winton's Sci-Fi Thriller 'Juice' for Working Title Films!


According to Deadline, director Joe Wright, is attached to direct the film adaptation of Tim Winton's sci-fi thriller "Juice" for Working Title Films.

Two-time BAFTA-winning filmmaker Joe Wright is attached to direct the feature take on the Tim Winton post-apocalyptic thriller novel Juice for Working Title Films.

The multi-Oscar-winning UK production company has optioned rights to Juice and set BAFTA and Emmy winner Abi Morgan to adapt.

Juice is set in a fractured and ravaged world following a climate-change disaster. A young husband and father is recruited into a top-secret resistance organization, joining the ranks of militia men tasked with targeting the isolated and wealthy culprits responsible for this global catastrophe. When a mission goes wrong, he finds himself on the run, having to fight to the end to survive in this hostile world.

Wright most recently directed The Agency for Showtime/Paramount+. His feature film credits include Atonement, Pride & Prejudice, Anna Karenina, Darkest Hour, Hanna and The Soloist.
