Movie Casting News: Matthew Macfadyen joins Rachel Weisz in ‘Seance On A Wet Afternoon’ adaptation

According to Deadline, Matthew Macfadyen has joined Rachel Weisz in Tomas Alfredson and Jack Thorne's "Seance On A Wet Afternoon" adaptation. 

The film, which was scripted by Jack Thorne (Adolescence), is currently in production.

The film’s synopsis reads: Myra, a self-proclaimed medium, convinces her husband, Billy, to kidnap the son of a wealthy family so she can lead the police to the “missing” child and legitimize her psychic abilities. When Myra’s true intentions come to light, however, Billy realizes her plan threatens to consume them both.

 
Seance On A Wet Afternoon is an Element Pictures and Astral Projection production, produced by Robyn Slovo, Ed Guiney, and Andrew Lowe alongside Polly Stokes and Rachel Weisz.
