Matthew Macfadyen wins his first Emmy Award for Succession!
The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards was held this Monday, September 12, and HBO's Succession (co-starring Matthew Macfadyen) with 25 nominations (the most for a network this year), won 4 Emmy Awards including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Matthew Macfadyen!!! Yay, so happy for Matthew!! Did not expect him to win, but I'm glad he did. It's his second nomination in this category (he was nominated in 2020) and it's about damn time he won. Yes, it seems this year, is his year as he also won Supporting Actor for Succession from BAFTA TV Award a few months ago or so, which he didn't attend at the time. Good thing he attended this one as it's great to see him accept his very first Emmy award and get some long overdue recognition for his amazing acting.
Anyway, here the categories that Matthew and Succession won for this year's Emmys (it's Succession's 13th Emmys; 4 in 2022, 7 in 2020, and 2 in 2019)...
Outstanding Drama Series ~ Succession
Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series ~ Matthew Macfadyen
Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series ~ Jesse Armstrong
Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series
