Watch: Text Santa - 'Downton Abbey meets Vera' video featuring Penelope Wilton and Brenda Blethyn!

ITV has released a new Text Santa - Downton Abbey sneak peek sketch video featuring Penelope Wilton's Isobel Crawley with Hugh Bonneville's Lord Grantham searching for the right Father Christmas (aka Santa Claus) with Brenda Blethyn's Vera showing up for the audition and Brendan Coyle's Mr. Bates popping up out of nowhere, lol...The P&P fan in me can't help thinking this was another awesome P&P/DA connection, Mrs. Bennet (P&P 2005) reunited with her sister-in-law Mrs. Gardiner (P&P 2005) who was sitting next to a different Mr. Bennet (Lost In Austen's own Mr. B!). I'd love for Keira & Matthew to make a cameo as Elizabeth & Darcy as a P&P 10th Anniversary reunion special or homage for the P&P movie fans. If only this idea is possible...

At Downton Abbey, Lord Grantham is looking for the right Father Christmas for the Abbey and it’s a highly sought after part as those who turn up for the audition include Brenda Blethyn as Vera.
