Hallmark Channel to honor Jane Austen with four new Loveuary 2024 Movie Premieres this month of February!

The Hallmark Channel is honoring the beloved English author Jane Austen with a Loveuary with Jane Austen, a month of 4 original movie premieres inspired by Austen's timeless and classic literary work. 

Starting on February 3, the network will premiere four all-new original movies with a Jane Austen theme every Saturday at 8/7c.

"Jane Austen's stories are timeless and continue to resonate with readers and viewers of all ages," Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming at Hallmark Media, said in a statement via People.com "Our movies will bring her beloved characters to life in fresh, new ways and honor the many women who continue to be inspired by them." 

The Austen tribute will start this Saturday, February 3rd with the premiere of Paging Mr. Darcy starring Mallory Jansen and Will Kemp.

Paging Mr. Darcy

Premiere Date: Saturday, February 3, at 8/7c
Starring: Mallory Jansen & Will Kemp
Synopsis: When an overly serious scholar attends a Jane Austen annual conference, she strikes a deal with a man playing Mr. Darcy and finds her perspective, and her heart changed. 

Love & Jane

Premiere Date: Saturday, February 10, at 8/7c
Starring: Alison Sweeney & Benjamin Ayres 
Synopsis: Lilly, a hopeless romantic and literary enthusiast, is surprised when her wish to talk to her favorite author comes true and Jane Austen herself appears in her life.

An American in Austen

Premiere Date: Saturday, February 17, at 8/7c
Starring: Eliza Bennett & Nicholas Bishop
Synopsis: Harriet, who thinks that no real man compares to Mr. Darcy, is transported into Pride & Prejudice and gets an unexpected chance to find out.

Sense And Sensibility

Premiere Date: Saturday, February 24, at 8/7c
Starring: Deborah Ayorinde, Bethany Antonia, and Dan Jeannotte 
Synopsis: A period adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. After a change in circumstances, Marianne is torn between two men, while Elinor longs for a man beyond reach. 

In addition to the Austen-inspired films, the network is launching a virtual Hallmark Channel Book Club led by Hallmark Channel’s Chief Fan Officer Jenny Forwark (@chieffanofficerhmk). Viewers will be able to discuss “this season’s Loveuary premieres, the legacy of Jane Austen, and the importance of female-focused storytelling.”

 
Fans can get the celebration of Austen started early by reading two of the author’s classics, Pride & Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility ahead of the club’s discussions starting on Jan. 25 and Feb. 15.
