5 Oscar Nominations for Most Promising Young Woman including a Best Actress nod for Carey Mulligan!
The 2021 Oscar Nominations were announced this morning and Carey Mulligan and her Emerald Fennell-directed revenge thriller Promising Young Woman scored five Oscar nominations including a Best Actress in a Leading Role for Carey! Congrats to her and the cast and crew of her MPYW film!!
Most Promising Young Woman was also nominated for 6 BAFTA awards, but Carey was snubbed for the Best Actress category. Carey, is at least not snubbed by the Academy as she now earned her second Oscar nomination (with An Education being her first one!) and she was also nominated for Best Actress in SAG (this will be held on April 4th) and Golden Globe (she lost this one though) Awards.
