Photos: Rosamund Pike accepts her "Breakthrough Actress" award for Gone Girl at 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala
Rosamund Pike attended the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Festival Awards Gala at Palm Springs Convention Center on Saurday, January 3, 2015 in Palm Springs, California. She accepted her Breakthrough Actress award (the first of hopefully, many deserving awards she'll be getting soon) for her outstanding performance as Amy (aka Amazing Amy) Dunne in Gone Girl, which her co-stars Carrie Coon (who played her sister-in-law in the movie) and Kim Dickens (who played a police detective investigating the disappearance of Amazing Amy) presented to her. She also attended the following day, Sunday January 4th, Variety's Creative Impact Awards And 10 Directors To Watch Brunch Presented By Mercedes Benz to present an award to Into The Woods director Rob Marshall.
Speaking of Rosamund's outstanding performance in GG, I love this Awards Daily article about Miss Pike being on top of the 11 actresses listed BEST ACTRESS: THE PERFORMANCES OF THE YEAR (Spoiler warning for those who haven't seen GG yet)! Also, RP won a couple more critics' awards (her 11th, thus far) for Best Actress from North Texas Film Critics Awards and Oklahoma Film Critics Circle Awards and nominated for both North Carolina Film Critics and Central Ohio Film Critics Awards. Plus Gone Girl is nominated for more awards in the following: ART DIRECTORS GUILD NOMINEES and Producers Guild Nominations (PGA).
Check out new photos of Rosamund looking gorgeous and fit (after giving birth to her second baby boy in just a month!)...
