Movie Casting News: Rosamund Pike filming 'Return To Sender' and to star in 'What We Did On Our Holiday'

Looks like Rosamund Pike will be busy filming two new films back to back this summer starting this week in New Orleans with an indie drama Return To Sender with Shiloh Fernandez and What We Did On Our Holiday with David Tennant starting mid-June. She just recently filmed Hector and the Search for Happiness with Simon Pegg (who was hilariously stalking Miss Pike with his random #roswatch tweets and photos on twitter, lol...) Also, Rosamund is set to star with Guy Pearce in an Aussie drama Violet Town. Her other upcoming films:  A Long Way Down, director Pascal Chaumeil’s (Heartbreaker) adaptation of the 
Nick Hornby novel of the same title, A Long Way Down, in which Rosamund co-stars with Pierce Brosnan and Toni Collete.  Hector and the Search for Happiness, a dramedy, in addition to The World's End. Also, she has another film that's been in development for a while and is now listed in pre-production: The Sea with Rufus Sewell and Ciarán Hinds. Plus two more in development: Godmother (2014) and Untitled Nick Hornby Project. Miss Pike will surely be super busy with many upcoming film projects coming soon! In the meantime, her recent crime thriller Jack Reacher film with Tom Cruise, is now available on DVD and Blu-ray!

Extras, stand-ins being sought for NOLA-shot drama 'Return to Sender'

"Return to Sender," an independent feature film starring Rosamund Pike ("Jack Reacher") and Shiloh Fernandez ("Evil Dead"), is looking for experienced stand-ins and extras for the film's upcoming local shoot. Filming will take place in the New Orleans area for four weeks starting May 7. 

Directed by Fouad Mikati ("Operation: Endgame"), "Return to Sender" is a drama about a nurse whose life begins to fall apart after she is raped. The synopsis: "When an orderly, meticulous nurse is raped, she becomes a trembling wreck of her former self. She tries to figure out how to cope with this trauma with the help of work, family and friends." Read full article here.

What We Did On Our Holiday shoots through June and July. Rosamund Pike (right) and David Tennant will head north next month, playing a couple going through marital discord as they travel from their home ‘down South’ to visit relatives in Scotland.

What We Did on Our Holiday

 the feature filmWhat We Did On Our Holiday, written and directed by Guy Jenkin &Andy Hamilton (creators of the hit BBC comedy show Outnumbered).

The comedy, with a working title of What We Did On Our Holiday will follow a family going through a tough time who undertake a road trip to Scotland for the grandfather’s 75th birthday but encounter chaos along the way.

This will shoot from 10th June 2013 for 7 weeks.
